Knights Inn South Bend: what do users think?
Chris M. Payne: This place is helping people transition from homelessness to relocation into a place to live and it's being run by a great guy who cares about the people who stay there!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Theresa “Mzfabulous” Hensel: Motels4Now program for the homeless, environment is very toxic and unsafe, poor management, low barrier which means a lot of horrible decisions without consequences, favoritism, NOT SAFE FOR KIDS!Rooms: Every room needs maintenance or some sort of fixing up which doesn't get done. Extra critter friends to keep you company,Safety: Shady unsafe environment, night security is a joke can be paid off with drugs or liquor, policies are only enforced on certain people, 10-10 quiet hours feels like prison...Walkability: Yep, liquor store is a 2 min walk grab your candy on the way back! Kill 2 birds with 1 stone... DOOOOPE! 🤫Food & drinks: Steak city's nacho fries are awesome 😎!
Robin Morris: ROACHES WERE CRAWLING OUT OF A ROOM PLUS THEY HAVE BED BUGS
taylor crowe: This place needs to be condemned immediately. I understand it's currently a place for the homeless but I would not let a homeless animal stay there. It's doing the homeless no good if they don't have heat/Air and can't take a bath. If I could give it a zero I wouldRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Donna Hotrum: Was not there! But was next door and what I saw said to me that I would NEVER Sleep, Stop, or Walk into the Knights Inn South Bend!!
Deanna Salisbury: Currently being used to house the homeless, its not safe but better than the streets
Gregory Matthews: The most unbelievable part of the whole thing was we asked upfront if there was a bedbug problem and they were very rude in there answers telling us no..well they were so bad no halfway competent person wouldn't recognize them they were clearly there for generations. This is the absolute most disgusting place in the entire Michiana area they should be condemned
Bhavishavick Patel: Good hotel
Ashlea Stormoen: If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would! I don't have to explain! Here's some photos of the place! And we had to call the police to get our money back! The heat did not work! And we stayed somewhere else!
Tony Conley: Bed bug infestation
Marcus Dowd: Roach motel was second stay this year one was worse first room had people allready in it even tho wasnt supposed to be,second room had no handles on shower or sink and the ac was gone with only styrofoam between inside and outside at knee level, 3rd room was best of 3 even with hole in wall thru to the other side with was vacant room.

James Christopher: The bwddings need washed bad. Or replaced. Smell bad. 313.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Tim DeLeu: Very clean, very comfortable, very affordable. Always solid .Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Web Luke (WebLuke): For a mid-to-budget hotel basically at the airport, it was great. The room was clean and stocked. The staff was nice. This made catching my early work trip flight easy. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and I had to be at the airport already so I missed trying it. It looked like a few kids were enjoying the pool when I walked by after dinner.Rooms: The standard double queen room was clean and comfortable.Walkability: The airport is about a city block's length of walking distance. There is no other amenities net by. The hotel does have a small shop.
Tamera Burrows: Absolutely disgusting! Our room was so dirty and GSR said he didn’t believe that. Never moved us or came to look. Very rude! Also was overcharged. Couldn’t shower because tub was filthy and had a bug in it. Woke up to people fighting in hallway. Worst stay everThe room was GROSS!!!
Jas B.: Great customer service! Rooms are not cleaned as they should be. We were changed to a second room because the linen was very disgusting. The second room was no better linen was disgusting too! Hair was visible when we pulled the sheets back, I had to request for clean sheets and even those sheets weren't as clean. Tables, chairs, desk, and wall was not wiped! I borrowed the spray from front desk to wipe. Beds are very uncomfortable! Sorry but I do not recommend this place.
Bills OLD US Garage: Someone tell the young front desk girl I want to marry her . Amazing serviceService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Maddie: Pet friendly and helpful staff.
Lacey Dozier: Horrible service! Pool was extremely cold! Had to go elsewhere for my kids to enjoy themselves. No bath towels in the bathroom! When asked for bath towels, staff informed me that I’d have to wait until the morning when housekeepers arrived which was the day of checkout. Definitely wouldn’t recommend!Rooms: Rooms were not as clean as i expected!
Gideon .Oberlin: CleanRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Bonita Pruitt: Horrible it's under new management now with people that I can't understand their English the whole place is nasty, smells and is garbage!!! I don't recommend this place for No One also be on the lookout for bed bugs (of course this is just MY OPINION)
Vaidehi Phase: Nice experience with check-in and check out. The room was perfectly clean. Towels were clean and neatly organized. Linen Bedsheets was very clean, like a new and super comfortable bed. Warm water in a pool that was relaxing after a long day of work. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.Walkability: Walkable distance from SBN International Airpor, which is a plus point when you are on your way back to home and have an early morning flight with a hectic schedule plan.
Krystle Webb (Krystyle): I arrived at around 12:30am and I was given my room, and upon checking the bed and sheets noticed drops of blood on the sheets, informed front desk about the issue and was given another room. The 2nd room I checked the sheets and there were urine stains on one of the beds sheets and what looked like feces and boot prints on the other bed, once I informed the front desk she went upstairs to look and came back and stated " I know the sheets and comforters are stained but I assure you they are clean. " I informed her that its not clean and asked for someone to change the bedding she refused and canceled my reservation and stated the manager would call my company about a refund. I was left at 1am in the morning trying to find another hotel and secure an Uber to said hotel in a state I have never been in. Thankfully Holiday Inn Express had an opening and they have been amazing. I normally only go to LA Quintas in my home state which is Minnesota and have NEVER had a bad thing to say about my stay, but this LA Quinta was the absolute worst hotel ever, stay clear and don't waste your time or money.
Juan Arreaza: Stayed here last night—I would not do so again. Front desk staff were polite and nice(both shifts) but unfortunately the water heater was down and it was not (1) disclosed to me at the time of check-in (9pm; I called front desk an hour or so later) and (2) possible to determine when it would be repaired the next day. An early morning cold shower in the winter is not ideal. Close to airport.
John Thompson: AC leaked and the whole room smelled like mold. No hot water in the morning. Towels had brown stains on them. It is absolutely ridiculous what one has to put up with to find a hotel that accepts pets for less than $100 a night. Only positive was friendly staff and a working waffle maker, pan cake maker was out of order lol.
Harold Mack: Good deal, clean room. Within walking distance of SBN, but manager offered prompt shuttle service to terminal - much appreciated on a cold morning! 😀
Amber Purcell: The concierge tried his absolute best to accommodate our needs and issues. He alone is the only reason I’m giving a 2 star review. The hotel room itself wasn’t cleaned well at all. We found old food, bottle caps, the bedding was stained, and even someone else’s open medication was left on the floor. There was a mold ring in the toilet and a bent nail sticking up on the floor as soon as you entered the room. The thermostat and refrigerator weren’t working in our room upon arrival. Turns out our room had a bad receptacle. So, after moving it to a different receptacle the refrigerator did work. After resetting our thermostat multiple times it finally decided to work as well. The pool was extremely smaller than what the website leads you to believe which indirectly, in my opinion, made it unsafe for little kids and weak swimmers. As a person who’s done their fair share of traveling this was one of the roughest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Someone please give that concierge a raise and a good reference for a place with better employment opportunities.
nekole pate: I did not get the room that I booked. Once I brought our stuff in the room I finally looked at my reservation and the pictures online to makes sure I did not book the wrong room. I was told that I had ten minutes to notify them that it was the wrong room. I proceeded to call Wyndham to complain and was about to be upgraded for an additional $20 to the room that I actually booked but since we had our stuff in here and sat on the bed we could not upgrade any more since we had been in the room for about forty minutes. Did I mention we didn't even have linens to the pull out couch either.. I am so disappointed in the location and company. They could of moved us to another room. The actual room I booked online with no extra charges. But no!! I am stuck in this room that I did not reserve. I bartend at at hotel on the weekends and they would of never treated their guests like this. The company I work for is for the guests 💯. Unfortunately my company I work for has no hotels up in South Bend.

Hampton Inn & Suites South Bend: what do users think?
Mike Johnson: It was very nice and relaxing and very clean.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Kinga Martinczak: Rooms were really dirty, stains on lamps, ceilings, walls.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Ryan Wyse: In definite need of some TLC. While the decor is more modern, much of it is in poor shape and needs replacing. I've slept on much more comfortable beds at lower quality hotels and the bathroom was in dire need of some wall and ceiling repair. Definitely not the quality standard I'd come to expect from a Hampton Inn.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kurt Nufer: As a long time Hilton Honors member, I always first look for a Hilton property when traveling. While planning a visit with my son at Notre Dame, I selected this Hampton Inn. I read some of the reviews that were not good. However, this was a very busy weekend (Junior Parents Weekend) and we decided that we'd trust Hilton and stay at this location. This was a big mistake. The check in staff was very polite. However, the facility was very poorly maintained. Our room (205) was shocking. The inside door handle came off in our hand. The closet door, same. The bathroom floor was dirty, the bathtub base was a shade of black (looking like it had not been properly cleaned in months). There were long black hairs on the shower walls. The club chair was stained in the bedroom. About the only thing that appeared clean were the sheets.I would encourage anyone who trusts Hilton, to stay away. Our room should never have been made available to a guest. period.
T.W. Rowley II: It is clean. Just worn and in need of some updating maintenance.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Raimie Wheeler: We stayed the night so we could use the pool for a birthday treat. My daughter and friend enjoyed their stay. The birthday girl even got to enjoy a late night apple juice thanks to the friendly staff.Rooms: Coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. Hairdryer in the bathroom, iron and board in the closet. Sofa pulls out into extra bed. Comfortable desk with chair.Safety: Key card required for entry to pool, fitness and laundry room. 24 hour reception with free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Fireplace in the lobby.Walkability: Many restaurants and Walgreens within walking distance.Food & drinks: Breakfast served every morning with choice of baked goods, make your own waffles, cereals with milk, yogurt, juices and hot beverages (Coffee, tea choices as well as hot chocolate). Hot breakfast choices rotate, we had scrambled eggs, potatoes O'Brian, and sausage links.
R.a. Wheeler: We enjoyed it. It's nice and cozy for being along 933, they offer things like coffee all day long and even had an extra blanket for the hide away couch. Over all you can't go wrong. My daughter celebrated her 11th birthday there and they accomidated us well.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly …More
R Giles: We arrived after 8pm and we had to wait about 10 minutes for the lady to get back to the check-in counter, she was very pleasant and apologetic. I am a Hilton Honors member and usually will stay at a Hampton if there's one close by. I was shocked at the condition of our room. Mold spots on the ceiling in the bathroom, wallpaper peeling off the walls, and a lot of bumps and bruises. I can't say the room was dirty but it definitely needs updated. Sorry for the negative post, but I expect more from a Hampton Inn.
Trypp Adams: Clean, quite hotel with friendly staff and free hot breakfast. Just off the highway and among several other hotels, gas stations and restaurants. Easy to get in and out. Rooms were a little dated but clean. Would stay here again.Food & drinks: Free hot breakfast had waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, and Obrien potatoes. Also a convenience store like area where you can buy chips/snacks.
Cynthia P: We had a nice suite with bedroom, living room and a small kitchenette. The room was comfortable with plenty of space. However, it is dated with repairs and upgrades needed. We were disappointed the pool was closed for maintenance. No hot tub. Guest laundry with one washer and dryer. Good lighting and outlet placement. Breakfast on the lower end of Hampton Inn. The hotel has treats out throughout the day which is a nice touch. Staff is excellent.
Tracey Brown: We always try to find a Hampton anywhere we go. While the staff was very friendly, the room itself and hotel were disappointing. The sheet would not stay on the king size bed., the bathtub floor was not level and angled to the middle. Was difficult to stand in it. The hotel itself must be old. Wallpaper peeling off the walls and water damage stains on the walls. Definately not our best stay at a Hampton.
Ken Potter: The pool was not operational, and the dining area was nasty... all the seats were stained. Plus, the pullout couch in the room was just old and uncomfortable. This was probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in a long time.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Sue Snyder: Easy to find and check in was no problem
Sarah MapelLentz: If I could give a 0/5, I would. I have contacted customer service at least four times now about our experience, and there’s been so real response. We were scheduled to stay at this hotel mid August for our son’s move in to Notre Dame. We arrived and there was trash literally everywhere on the floor, and our room smelt nauseatingly like smoke covered up by Febreeze. We asked to switch rooms, said we were happy to have a smaller room, two rooms, anything. The front desk person hung up on me and told me she couldn’t handle it. There was another family near us who had been booked into a room for three people, only their son was left without a bed or sleeper. They asked for just some bedding so he could sleep on the floor. The front desk person said there was none - anywhere in the hotel. Our son was supposed to take a Calc placement exam the next morning at 8am, which he ended up missing after we finally found another hotel at 2am. The whole experience was beyond disturbing. I would have never expected this from a Hilton property. We figured writing to the CEO and contacting customer service would get some place, but alas, it has not. So I’m warning others to not use this place. Stay at one of the many other hotels in the area if you want a bed, or at least bedding even if no bed, or at least a room that isn’t making you sick due to the smell (in the nonsmoking room). THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE HAMPTON INN AND SUITES SOUTH BEND, not Home2Suites Mishawaka.
Holly: Less amenities..Not clean.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel South Bend: what do users think?
Judy Bardy: Sad no cookies available, as marketing promises.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Benjamin Dick: Rooms: Nice and cleanFood & drinks: The bar downstairs has a decent philly.
Jimmy Lee: I normally don't give hotels a 5 star rating without a great wow factor, but Hilton properties earned it in every way.Check in has always been fantastic. Desk clerks are helpful and friendly. Rooms are awesome with a great view. The restaurant on site is great with tv.s. and never really that busy. The best part is location..... My favorite Irish pub in America is one block over and within walking distance. Fiddlers Hearth.
Jamie Caporosso: The ol girl is due for a face lift. Just a little run down now and showing her miles for sure.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Charles Slappey: Noteworthy details: Kelly says cookie was goodRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Philip Taffe: Our room was nice. The steak from bakers bar & grill was good. The pool was good, but I was disappointed that the hot tub was closed
CH Wms: I had an event on Saturday in Salon B, with about 65 people; from planning with Amber W, sales manager to execution with Ericka and Tahje banquet servers/hosts everything was perfect. Ericka and Tahje did an exceptional job, they were right there to make sure all of my needs were taken care of in a very professional and seamless manner. They get a 10 out 10!!! Thank you
Terry Pollock: An absolute joke for the money spent. And they say it's a toom that could go for 899.00 a night. Truly, anyone staying one night knows that's a complete joke. Found ice cream containers and to go bags underneath the bed from the prior customer, so did the sheets get changed then? We planned to eat there, and sat at the restaurant for 20 minutes before even being acknowledged. I'm patient just please acknowledge me.Oh well, lessoned learned, and so are all those that ask a good place to stayDisappointed ~~
James Payne: We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The parking garage was easily accessible, the room was nice, and the location was really good. I’d give this 5 stars if the front desk would have handled the 3pm check in queue better than they did.
Tom Risk: Very clean! Warm cookies!!
Emily W: This hotel is hyped up to be more than it actually is. The hotel staff is nice, and the lobby is welcoming. However, when you get to your room it’s disappointing. The rooms are small and dull. Water stains on the ceilings. The water pipes scream when you take a shower. Our air conditioning/furnace was on the fritz, so it was never a decent temperature in our room. AND in the pool room, the hot tub is out of service (indefinitely). When booking the hotel over the phone the gentleman assured us they had a hot tub, I guess it was wrong of us to assume it was working. The location is pretty much the best thing about this hotel.
MJ Mitchell: Great stay.Clean and refreshing. Great view from the corner room. Was a little difficult to find hotel but overall good stayRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view …More
Michael Keller: Amazing place. Best location. Awesome food. Really cool hotel. Very clean. Great food. Great staff. One of the best DoubleTrees I’ve stayed at. We’ll be back.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jim Lee: Hard to give a Hilton property a 5 star, but as a diamond member they deserve it. I had to park an oversized vehicle and they went beyond what they needed to to help me find a spot. The rooms are 5 star and the location is close to bars, restaurants, and venues. The building is architecturaly is amazing. Defiantly my must stay when I'm south bend. Thanks to the entire staff as well as restaurant and bar staff.

Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame: what do users think?
anthony cavegn: I live out of state and traveled 7 hours to come here for a work conference. It wasn’t until a week after I arrived home that I realized I left one of my bags in the room. They went above and beyond to make sure my property was kept safe until I could retrieve it. The staff was so kind throughout my stay and the breakfast was absolutely killer. 10/10 recommend. Thank you Embassy Suites!
Joseph Herdman: Everyone at this hotel was friendly and always willing to helpRooms: Room was big and cozyRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights High-tech …More
Lisa Varrie: We weren’t aware that the Embassy wasn’t suites. We weren’t advised that when checking out we needed our room key to leave parking lot after check out we normally leave our key card inside hotel we were stuck for over 20 min waiting on someone to let us out and another couple was also waiting prior to us.Rooms: Not what we are use to being diamond members we did realize they weren’t suites.Noteworthy details: The hotel should make sure when you check in that you are aware that you must take your room key with you at checkout to leave the parking garage we were stuck for 20 min along eith another couple
Elizabeth Phillippo: Hotel itself was great but the maid stole my yeti cup while we were out to lunch.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great view, Kid-friendly …More
Roger Draft: This outstanding hotel is across the street from Notre Dame and actually appears to be a part of the campus. We were fortunate to be traveling mid week rather than a football weekend, so were able to get a beautiful, well appointed room. From an evening reception with complimentary drinks and appetizers to a comfortable bed, a large screen TV, an exceptionally clean bathroom and a much better than average complimentary cafeteria style breakfast, we felt treated as welcome guests. It is easily accessible to and from US 31 and the Indiana toll road.
Kim Pop (kimpopusa): Made to order breakfast. Please also offer oat milk at coffee area. Convenient to campus.
Kim Griffin: Left a jacket & shirt in the closet and housekeeping did not turn in to front desk. When I called back management ignored my request to check with housekeeping. Next day management said too bad.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Greg Moran: Great hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, they recently started charging for parking which, I believe, was previously free for diamond members. I have stayed here a few times and this is the first time I was charged.
Sandra Kemp: Meeting rooms nice. Good service and food. Great location. Room temperature was cold, so layer up.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rachele Plencner: Beautiful hotel. We used their meeting rooms and catering services as well as numerous guest rooms. Everything was excellent.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Nate: Staying at Embassy Suites is such a joy...if ever our family had an issue it was quickly resolved. Thanks to the staff for taking great care to the many details that have to happen to make a home away from home run so smoothly! Great job....especially to Michael at the front desk and Chef Mario and Chef Patrick.
Dan Morris: Separate charges for everything. Beds very hard
Roselene Lange: It’s super overpriced, not clean enough. We stains in our sheets, not enough blankets and it’s an old hotel. Breakfast is great, but takes forever to replace coffee. I mean if you are going to overcharge, then it’s better to have an excellent service. I had no choice on picking a hotel.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Amanda Robinson: Great looking hotel with nice and helpful staff. However, the beds are unbelievably awful and uncomfortable. My guest and I had a very hard time falling asleep. I can't express how awful the bed was.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Chris Spinelli: Very friendly staff, nice hotel, nice rooms!Rooms: Nice roomsNoteworthy details: Good breakfast spread.

They had apple juice, oj, tea, coffee, toast, bagels, yogurt, produce, cereal, and waffles. Our room had major carpet stains & dirty mirror when arriving. Also a confusion on deposit. I had called day prior and was under the impression my total was different. Had ask for $70 deposit I gave a $100 bill and received a received a receipt for a $100 deposit. As long as I receive my deposit I stand by a 4 star review :)
