They could not find the part, so they said we could bring in our own parts and then they refused to fix it for a days after we brought in the parts. And they only did half the job before saying it was done. All this happened after new management came in.

Kimberly Krebs: I wanted to share our story. While we were coming back from PA (heading to WI) our car threw a fit and decided to shut down on I80. After getting help from the tow truck and State Patrol we ended at Car X. David C was such a down to Earth person. His demeanor made the situation less stressful and promised that he would look at our car first thing in the morning. (It was closing time when we got there). The next morning, he touched base with us, told us the problems and after getting the go a head to fix, had my car up and running again within 2 hours. We joked about seeing each other again and I said if I ever had to break down again, I hope it would be near his location. Thank you to everyone at Car X that got my car up and running so we could make it home safely. (My boys also wanted to thank you for the quarters so they could get gum...that was an added plus to wonderful service). God Bless and thanks again!

mel akz: I went in there today 8/22/22 to ask an estimate of my truck. The guy inside was somewhat busy in front of the computer or maybe his playing? I really don’t know what he was doing????As soon as I entered in there tiny office I greeted this guy and I started talking to him regarding my truck. He was not that happy dude when I started talking to him as if I made his day miserable as I might be disturbed him from what his doing. In short.. he has attitude that maybe because I am not a white guy and looks no money for him. This type of worker should not be in there to deal with customers. I drove myself there early at 8 am to make sure people are on a happy mood but not this dude who is VERY RUDE!!!! I wish I am his name.As we talked, he sounds like knows everything and not getting my explanation to him of what happened to my truck. He just simply say… Where is the truck!! Oh I can get estimate!! If you what, to your truck if you want me to do it!!! My original review is 5 years old but again this week they resolved a serpentine belt that failed and fixed our air conditioner that was damaged by the belt failure. My car dealership service has yet to respond to my call for service. CarX always treats me with respect and cost for services are reasonable.

Tom Juntunen: 17 hours away in Texas and my daughter who is in college in South Bend calls me with car trouble, and of corse it’s cold and snowing. When she told me what the car was doing I had her shut the car off and to park the car and my heart sank. I know it wasn’t feasible for me to drive up especially not knowing what part availability would be like when I got there and the thought of finding a shop that was both knowledgeable and honest would take advantage of my daughter and the fact I was far away was weighing in my mind. I prayed, and then I immediately started looking for local shops online. I have a back ground as a car technician and I knew what was wrong but didn’t really know what caused it. After filtering through a dozen or so reviews I called and spoke to Tim explained what happened and what I knew. He was very personable and professional and I felt very comfortable having the car towed to his shop without calling anyone else. He got to it quickly, verified what had broken and found the cause. (Many shops would have just replaced the part and not looked far enough to see what caused the part to fail. There’s bad reviews all over the web to prove this happens often). Tim called me to update me and get approval to make the repairs, ordered parts and got the car going within hours of the parts arriving and the bill was less than I expected. I can’t express how nice it was to deal with Tim. I appreciate his knowledge and the fact that I never for one second felt he was anything but 100% fair, honest and through. As a Dad of a young daughter 17 hours away, that is priceless. I cannot recommend Tim’s Auto Repair enough. When you find a genuinely good mechanic with integrity that you can trust not to screw you over and actually takes good care of you, you've pretty much struck gold. I have a lot of cars, and those cars eventually have something come up every now and then that I can't handle myself. My first thought is always to call Tim and try to get it in cause I know he'll take care of me. Railynn Whitt: If I could rate 0 stars I would. Paid $500 for engine diagnosis, oil change, crankshaft sensor part & replacement. They DID NOT put oil into my car after the oil change. I was only able to drive 10 minutes down the street before my engine started knocking. When I called them telling them what happened, they stated that there isn’t anything they could do to fix it because they already “informed” me that I had an “unhealthy” motor. Car is completely ruined with no accountability. WORST PLACE EVER!

Technicians are competent and honest. Turnaround time is not fast, but it's because they are careful in their work. They had also noticed that my back breaks and rotors and calipers were faulty.Which I had them fixed a week ago by bell tire, they advised me to go back to Belle tire to have them fix their mistake.I am a middle-aged single woman and car stuff really is not my thing lolBut I was totally treated with respect and was shown step by step how and why certain things on my vehicle needed to be fixed. They would show me what a good caliper should look like and what a bad one looks like.It really helped me out and put me at ease.Well a couple about a week goes by and something g seemed to go wrong g with my aur condition again and I called them and made an appointment to bring it in so they could fix it.It was actually an issue that was related to the air condition but not the initial thing they fixed, but it was a simple part that regulated the temperature that needed to be changed.They were super awesome and totally replaced that part and fixed it and did not charge me an extra penny.Most places would have charged me another 200 bucks or more, but not these guys.Wow.I am so sorry I took so long to make this review 😪Please forgive me.If I lived closer I would make this place my go to for all my vehicles.
