Always Providing: The location is within walking distance to a couple restaurants. It's always clean and well kept. The only issue I've ever had is trying to check-in around 2am. The only attendant had gone to the bathroom and I had to wait about 10min. for them to come back and give me my room key.Food & drinks: They serve breakfast with fresh coffee each morning. It's a standard hotel breakfast with a waffle maker, pancakes, and French Toast triangles or sticks.

Todd Bredenkamp: Great paved bike/walking trail. Tennis courts are also marked for pickleball, but the courts are cracked. Wounderful pool is a great place for family outings. They have shelter houses and cottages for rent. The camping area is available. They have a really nice BMX track.Picnic area: Again, it's a nice place for family outings. There are plenty of picnic tables.

Jessica Spooner: We went to a wedding reception at the Discovery Lodge. It is one of the best locations I've been to for a wedding reception! The set up was perfect. It is very spacious. Plenty of room for kiddos to run around and not be in anyone's way. The whole area was clean and well managed.

H. S.: I've had two nieces get married in the discovery Lodge at burdette Park! It's an amazing Park in the building that they got married in was beautiful! I took my kids there to swim when they were little it's just a great place!
Norman Richards: Burdette Park is beautiful! My wife and I got married in 1980 and rented a shelter house for our reception. The rest of the family has been doing the same ever since. Burdette Park is a well maintained place from one end to the other and we are glad to have it in our community and we highly recommend it!!!

Tammy Trebesch: We have stayed several times. Was not happy this time. I thought front desk would say “We appreciate your business “Poor customer service this time. I was told not to steal any towels at check in. I have a linen closet full. In the evening, so much noise, noise. That was not the front desk’s fault.

Alli J'son: Both people we interacted with at the front desk while we there were great! The 2 beds plus sofa bed was great with family of 5. Location was ideal since we were in town for a basketball tournament at North High School. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Holiday Inn Expresses usually always have really neat lighting, like this one does. Only complaint is how we could hear everything in the room above us.. and apparently there was a band that was occupying that room. They came in around 2:30 a.m. and I woke up believing there was an earthquake. Other than that, all was great. Would stay here again.

And in the dining areas there were cobwebs as well. Cade Grimm: To be fair the hotel was under renovation so I'm sure they will tend to some of the issues I found in my room which were relatively minor. The dining area was closed due to remodeling so there was a continental breakfast in a small room off to the side. It's within walking distance to Logans and Applebee's. It's nice to see they are investing in renovations. It's more than I can say for a few other locations I've stayed in lately.
Anita Ballester: The rooms here were extremely comfortable, clean, spacious, well lit, and adequately supplied with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There were no weird odors in the room, either. There was adequate parking and the outside was well-lit. This hotel is pet friendly, too. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The only reasons I gave it four stars is because it is under renovation and it took us three tries to catch the elevator to go up to our room and five tries to get the elevator to be able to take our luggage down to the car to leave the next morning. The breakfast that was included was a bit lacking, as well. It looked more like something I would expect at Comfort Inn or Days Inn, not an IHG property. Overall, I would definitely stay there again! I'm sure once the renovations are completed, it will once again be a five star property!

Alex Rogers: It's an older property showing its age, but it's priced accordingly. Despite the building being slightly rough around the edges, my room was impeccably clean and quiet. Mattresses were on the firm side, which may be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. I was slightly annoyed by the desk clerk engaged in a long seemingly unnecessary conversation with the guest in line in front of me when he could clearly see me waiting to check out. The woman running the breakfast area ended up doing the desk clerk's job for him and taking my keys. The desk clerk's lack of efficiency and professionalism cost this property a star. Despite that, I'd happily stay here again.

Krush: Check in was quick, which was nice, but I would have rather known about housekeeping, breakfast, etc. Literally no information was given other than my room number. The room was clean, but the hotel was LOUD. All night. Either bring ear plugs or request an upper floor. I was given a lower floor and heard people slamming doors, stomping, and going up and down the halls all night. I was only in town for one night, otherwise I would have requested a room change or just gone somewhere else.

Brian D: I have stayed in hotels from Toronto to New York to Chicago to Germany, and I would have to say this was one of the best places I have ever spent the night. The staff was friendly, the room as GORGEOUS, and the location could not have been better. I loved that I could see the river out of one side of my room and the historic downtown area out of the other side. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Evansville.

APRIL AMOS: Nice evening staff.Room was very clean, big and comfortableWorst thing was as soon as I finally started getting asleep around midnight- one o'clock . I was startled awake by the loudest fire alarm I've ever heard before. It was going off for more than 5 minutes. No communication from hotel staff at all. Alarm finally went off. My son and I finally layed back down. About 5min later it went off again. Only on for about 2mins that time. Once again no communication from hotel staff. Tried calling front desk a few times but only got busy signal.So needless to say it was hard to get back asleep after that. So I basically got no sleep.Breakfast was good. The lady working in breakfast area was nice enough to make my son some cinnamon rolls since they were all gone.I do believe they need more than one person working front desk checking people in. It was around 4pm and the line was going out the door. The lady was working as fast as she could and was doing a great job. But she could have used some help. In the morning there were 3 people working up front and office. Would have been nice to have had all that help evening before.I do feel the hotel should have apologized about the fire alarm.
urich J: Newer hotel, and convenient for our purposes. The room was great for a single night, but I have to admit they are a bit cramped. Not sure that really matters, because I only stayed on night on a business trip. Very clean, very modern. plenty of plug ins to charge devices. The breakfast is the standard IHG fare. Come on IHG, overall, you really need to improve your breakfast, at all your hotels. Take a page out of the holiday inn express in Obregon, Mexico. They really know how to do breakfast.

Tyler Oldham: This review is for the Holiday Inn (Downtown Evansville) location on Walnut. The rooms were very clean and nice with all amenities one would need for a stay. The lobby and conference areas were very large and well maintained also. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was easy and efficient. We used them for our wedding block hotel and I am very impressed with how easy and communicative they were in the process. None of our guests had any complaints regarding the hotel or the staff. They even went out of their way to make sure we would have everything we needed for our wedding and our guests. They were very responsive and professional in the process. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area or hosting events in Evansville.

Alex L: Micah at the front desk was fantastic! I needed a place to charge my car overnight and over the phone she assured me they had 2 working chargers in their gates parking lot, which was exactly the case. The king room was spacious and clean. Happy to see IHG removing excess plastic waste by eliminating single-use toilettetries and using refillable bottles, looks like they're partnering with Dove on that effort. HOT BREAKFAST in the mornings! The staff made an excellent effort to have everything ready, and the food was delicious. 100% recommended!Nearby activities: Walking distance to the river, right by the war memorials.Noteworthy details: They have 2 EV charging stations in a gated lot across the street.
