William Abbott: Gotta say, this experience started off great but then it sort of slipped. Bought my car, negotiation was fair, I picked up the car hassle free. Texted back a few days after after they asked ME if I had any questions or concerns. A fella named Matt Wilson is speaking to me at this point. Asked some basic questions about scheduled maintenance and he became very standoffish like I was trying to get free repairs out of them, when I was simply trying to figure out if I'd need to have the timing belt and water pump replaced very soon. Overall that really brought the experience down because that tells me they think the worst of their customers, and if they think that, who knows what goes on behind the scenes?

braeden hensler: My Dad has had his Police Car in for a service that would take a reputable body shop a week or two at most. It has been at Bob Thomas for two months and isn’t even done yet. Disgraceful how they put the City on back burners because they think they can. Taking advantage of the fact that the city probably won’t complain to just be awful is a terrible and dishonest service model. Unacceptable and will tell everyone just how truly bad this place is and not to spend their money here for a new car or repairs.

C. Jackson: When I purchased my 2023 Maverick, they suggested the comprehensive road hazard policy due to the amount of driving I do each day for work. I’m usually not one to buy extended warranties, etc., but this one that covers tires, wheels, the windshield and offers paintless dent repair made sense. I’m glad I got it, because here less than a month later they are fixing a flat that I got today. I pulled in, they found the nail and immediately got the truck on the lift. $0 deductible, and great service. Money well spent!Chris Jackson

Alex Banks: Took my truck here for a diagnostic paid almost $150 for it they told me the fuel injectors were bad. Went and had the injectors replaced and still doing the same thing!! So now I'm out hundreds of more dollars!
Andrew Callison: This review is for the service department. Bob Thomas Ford West Service Department has to be the most professional dealer service department I’ve ever worked with as a customer. They were incredibly responsive and squeezed me in a day earlier than scheduled, performed all the service perfectly, and were very affordable. The service manager, Kent and Derek did a great job of explaining everything and the courtesy shuttle driver, Bill, was incredibly friendly. I didn’t buy my current Ford from Bob Thomas, but I’ll certainly by my next Ford from them!

Nick McLay: I was recently shopping for a Tahoe SUV. I found a really nice one listed at $38k used on their lot. I went in to look at it and loved it. I left a message for a salesman to call me. Mysteriously, the price went up top $44k. I pointed out that was not the price listed online. They were not apologetic. I went to another dealer and bought the same truck, very nearly for the market price. I see that here it is weeks later and they STILL have that truck now listed for $37k. Might want to reevaluate your pricing structure.
Amber Smith: I purchased a vehicle in April of 2021 and had an awesome experience with the sales process. I paid cash for gap insurance and the extended warranty. Together around 3k if not more. Unfortunately, I totaled my vehicle nearly 5 months ago. I immediately let them know the situation. I went in and signed paperwork less than a week after the accident. My insurance had already processed the claim on the vehicle, paid it off and gave me my remainder left over. It took Bob Thomas over a month to get my portion of the extended warranty that was owed to me. I am still waiting on my gap insurance money. I have spoke with Tim at least 8 times. There are several messages that he has not returned. He always tells me he's calling someone and he will call me back. He has never 1 time called me back. I can understand 1 month... but 5. I was going to return there to buy my next vehicle but unfortunately because of this I won't. It's really unfortunate. Tim in finance, if you get to see this review, the 1 star is because of you. I'm sorry to the sales team. Please consider calling me and giving me the money that is still owed.

adam welsh: Me and my wife decided to purchase a used car at Bob Thomas Ford. We asked for them to show us the sheet that the mechanic filled out during inspection and everything he marked off good. Well, fast forward a month later I was doing the front differential I noticed the fluid was silver, then I decided to check the drive shaft, and the front axle to the differential and come to find out the front differential was completely shot, and the drive shaft from the transfercase had play in it to. So as I called Bob Thomas Ford about the problems that were there when they said everything was good, I asked to see if they can fix this since since they said everything was good on the vehicle. After waiting for the response back they asked me if I purchased the warranty and I said no. And all in response I get was "sorry we can't do anything about it." So if you purchase a vehicle there bring your own mechanic you trust. Because these mechanics don't know what they are doing. Now since there no help from them for missing the mistake they made. I have to pay $4500 to get this replaced. So I'm never going there again.

He didn't ask me the engine info or anything, and didn't even offer to give me a detailed estimate for this job, which is a big job! I will never have work done here, nor buy a vehicle from here.

Tim Garber: Predatory lending at it's finest - a little long winded post, but worth the read. My wife and I recently bought out our lease and originally purchased the vehicle at another Ford dealership. Decided to use Bob Thomas as it was just down the road from us rather than driving 1.5 hours. Shame on me for not reviewing the purchase agreement prior to having the check cut from our bank. I assumed it was a straightforward car deal and they would appreciate the car sale for their forecast and dealership performance from the manufacturer enough to make this easy and worry free. After a review of the purchase agreement, they added a shadow marking ($300 add-on fancy name for window etching stickers) to our car deal. Mind you, nothing said we had to bring this vehicle to Bob Thomas to sign the paperwork nor did they ever ask us to make sure we brought the vehicle in so they could pull it into the service department and install the window etching. In fact, they told me I would be in and out in 15 minutes which further confirms they had no intention of adding the window etching to our vehicle.Just goes to show you even when you are helping a dealership out by giving them an additional car deal they will still try and screw you over. Not sure if they saw an opportunity of my wife coming in by herself and thought was an easy $300 for them to make. Unfortunately for them, I read over the agreement and am familiar with car deals enough to spot predatory lending when I see it. Buyers beware, just when you have a little trust in the automotive space, they always show you why you shouldn't. I'm sure they will just say it's default added to every car deal they do, and slipped through the cracks. However, any honest business would never charge you for a service they didn't perform and would make sure they didn't. They know they had no intention of adding this to my vehicle and wanted to make a quick buck. Hope this helps future customers when deciding whether or not to choose Bob Thomas Ford.

Sarah Geraghty: I had been looking for a car for two weeks, test driving everything and really contemplating my options. I was a little overwhelmed by this past Saturday when I stopped by preferred without an appointment and Jake greeted my husband and I right away. Jake never got frustrated or tired even though we test drove 3 or 4 cars and he kept engaging with us about what we liked and didn't along with having knowledge about the vehicles. My husband and I knew we really appreciated him and the rest of the staff at the state rd preferred and after taking a couple days to weigh things out we made the jump and Jake and the guys got busy first thing to make the deal happen. Everyone from the manager, finance officers and loan agent to our sales person made us feel important and comfortable even when my husband and I were a little edgy at times. Jake brought my spare key fab, hand delivered to my house with a warm and sincere hand written letter and I am now a huge fan of preferred, they have a client for life. 10/10

Kristen Canan: If you are looking at a vehicle on Preferred's lots, make sure to take it in to your mechanic before making any decisions. I was looking at a Subaru Forester that appeared to be in excellent condition and I was considering purchasing. I was told that this vehicle had been serviced at their center, however they were not able to answer any of my questions regarding service performed. I took it into the Subaru Service Center where they found over $5,000 in fixes, including major head gasket leaks, transmission fluid hose leak (fluid all over front driver wheel), ball joint replacement on one wheel, muffler and exhaust replacement (bad repair job, very very rusty) and lower control arm replace. There is just no way all of these issues were not seen at their service center. My experience at Preferred Auto was that I wasted my time and money. I did not get the impression that I was being scammed, but I am not sure where the communication breakdown occurred between service and sales. I will say that Josh was very pleasant, friendly, and not pushy at all.

Rachael Rowe: Here I am, a month after buying my Jeep Cherokee from Bob Thomas Ford, and I get a call that I am late on my old car payment (which is supposed to be payed off, according to the paperwork I signed off on when I bought the Jeep). I found this out while being on my lunch break from my old co signer on my old Dodge Journey. Mine, as well as her's, credit is being dinged. I was not notified by my old bank nor Bob Thomas. I was driving my new Jeep thinking my old Journey was paid off. Long story short, I am currently still dealing with this problem. This isn’t the only problem with my Jeep. When I first bought my Jeep, the next day it didn’t start. They sold me a car with a bad battery, with knowing about it.I called and they told me that they had to jump the jeep before test driving. Luckily, they took care of that. Of course I had to haggle them to take care of it at all. I didn’t have bad service with buying the car, but I have had nothing but problems since. I advise to find a different car dealer if you’re looking to buy a car. I don’t wish what I have went through on anyone.

When I mentioned it to the sales man a few days after purchase he said "that's impossible, they cant be" then he went on to saying he can't do anything about it and it's all on me. Basically to go f**k mysef because it's not his problem. Now I have to go spend $300 for just 2 tires. When I got sold this car I was told it was like brand new with low miles multiple times. And he guaranteed that it passed their "inspection". That's what sold me. For someone who has struggle for years and finally have enough to purchase her first car and then get sold a car with a list of problems is just beyond frustrating. Don't EVER buy a used car from here.

They never did. It’s a small amount so I didn’t pursue them any further but dealing in bad faith is just not right.

MARK LONG: It's the kind of place that sets up an appointment with you to do a test drive at a certain time, then when you get there, the vehicle is not in the lot because they let someone else test drive it for the day. Then give you attitude when your upset that they didn't even have the courtesy to text and let you know. Told me that if I wanted it that bad I "should have put money down on it.."Then tell me they're running two businesses so they have a hard time keeping up with what they tell who.I want to find out what the other business is. So I can avoid that one too. Buyer beware with this place. Not to be trusted.
