Indy Cycle Specialist: what do users think?
Heath Hauflaire: Kinda sloppy work. I brought my mountain bike in for a spring service that I treat myself to (usually at another shop) every couple of years in which they were supposed to clean the frame and grease bearing, true wheels, replace cables, and bleed brakes as well as some other maintenance items. Frame came back cleaner but still dirty in areas, dropper cable cut too long and sticking out from under the lever, top tube cap not lined up, grease coming out of pivot points and axles. I’m now having to take my bike apart to clean and check the service myself and fix some of the issues since I’m not really sure or happy with some of what they did. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and the bike selection they carry is one of the best in the city. I thought I would try them out, but I will likely go to my regular shop in the future.
Mark A. Woelfel: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection!
Aaron Ettner: I found my bike shop. I will only go here.
jerry southside: I have been going here since Scott was Ritter ave really nice guy Employees r rockstars as well keep it up guys awesome work
Gary Pratt: Nothing but 5 star service at this business!
Tony Anderson: Wanted to change my drop bars to wide risers on my old ten speed. These guys (unlike other local shops) had all the right stuff in stock. Got me dialed in with everything I needed for cheap. An hour of work later and i’m ready to hit the roads again. Kyle was a huge help.
Daniel Guillaud: This shop is the best! They have really high end stuff without being elitist or snobby. Any time I have a weird question they answer it straight. They give great advice on bike and component selection. I feel a bit guilty because with all the supply chain issues my latest bike purchases have been from elsewhere, but they still treat me well when I come in for maintenance or mechanical help. Most recently they helped me fix a really annoying brake issue while I waited. I didn’t have to deal with the 2-week tune-up wait. I’m pretty sure they also adjusted my shifting without me having to ask because it worked better after than before. And they only charged me $10 for a problem I couldn’t fix myself after a couple hours of trying. My favorite bike shop in Indy, I’ll keep coming back! And someday I’ll buy a bike from them if they have the one I am looking for in stock or reasonably order able. I love browsing their selection of drool-worthy mountain bikes.
Scott Ritchie: Bought my daughters bike for use at college today. Great place. They spent as long with us as we needed until we were happy with the Bike that worked for my daughter. Answered all questions and made us feel comfortable with the bike she picked.
John Doe: Spencer was incredibly helpful!!!!
George Ganter Orlgear: Great, bike shop, very freindly and knowledgeable. Answered all our questions, even followed me to a bike so I could show them what part I needed. They had the part and retrieved it for me. Awesome
Angie Ganter: First time there. Friendly people. Will go back.
Patrick Wiese: Took a little after they closed to help me get my bike right, then had no worries to an exchange next day . Great people great shop.
Dorthy Bowden: Can't read anything on the website because of the background with white letters.
Jose I Garcia: Awesome service in a very friendly and family like atmosphere. I Have always been greeted and thoroughly walked through many options even when I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend ICS!
andy whitehurst: After buying several bikes and countless tires, tubes and other bike accessories, ICS is the best bike shop around. I've been doing business with them for over 20 years..
Brian Fedje: First time visit to look at a 1949 bike my son bought as a project. Gave us great feedback on things that could be done. Bought new tube and chain. Definitely found a good reliable bike shop!
Myles Parrish: Great bike shop! Good brands and respectful staff. Would recommend !
Michael Sego: These guys are great. Everytime I've been in there they're always so helpful. I like the fact they can tune up or do some add ons to your bike while you wait. Highly recommend.
Michelle Ferguson: Great, fast service!
Jeramy Lovell: I love this store. You can bring the bike in and they will fix it for cheap. And you can leave your bike here and you can make payments
Garrett Campbell (GarrettoMC): Great service; very helpful and friendly.

Bicycle Garage Indy: what do users think?
Attabey Rodríguez Benítez: Very knowledgeable staff and went out of their way to make recommendations!
Xandra Dungan: Staff was super nice and helpful! I know little to nothing about bikes and had no idea what I was looking for. I was in and out within 30 minutes with a new bike. I am so excited! Thank you for your help today :)
K G Enn: Shawn Hawk has always been a friendly, professional spirit in the community. All the people that work at BGI have always been cool and super knowledgeable. They fixed my bike in a flash for way less than i was anticipating. I pedaled off into the sunset with a renewed spirit in humanity.
Eric Gutter: Recently, I worked with Alex and Tony on the repair and maintenance of my bike. I am super grateful for their time, knowledge, and friendliness. They helped with understand what was going on with my bike. I definitely recommend working with BGI downtown.
Trent Taylor: The staff is friendly and extremely helpful.
DK Morelock: Bunch of friendly guys working there. They make you feel welcome and are very helpful with your bike issues. Everything I've purchased from there has been great products. Have never had a bad experience.
Alex Nation: They have serviced multi bikes of mine and I've purchased gear- I always left with a smile on my face. The prices are fair and they even fixed some of my problems for free. As someone that was new to cycling a couple of years ago, businesses like this have encouraged me to cycle more and to the point that I've moved from just commuting by bicycle to doing multi day trips all by bike. Thank you for being good stewards of the Indy bike community. PeaceUPDATE: I've been here probably another five times and they continue to impress.
Scott Harris: Great bike shop.
Clarence Jones (Johnearl Gritts): I'm a regular and they treat me well. Thanks Sean and the whole team downtown indy.
paul crimmins: Great shopping experience
Lynn Shollen: Excellent customer service from start to finish, including a personalized email after my order was placed.
A R: Helpful and friendly staff. Have everything you need to stay rollin
9jasonwhite: Great bike shop and a large selection of bikes.
Corey Smith: Friendly staff, huge selection and competent bike mechanics. Overall very happy with my build. The only thing I would knock is having to ask for the bike to be set up to me upon picking up. But once I asked they were more than happy to adjust the air shocks, etc. Highly recommend!
Gabriel St. Angel: My bike was stolen and someone had brought it in for work. They had a hunch and looked up the serial number to find out it was stolen. They got in contact with me I got my bike back. Amazing staff.
Hobby Dude: Great location and friendly staff!
Carl Washburn: I rode 3 miles to Bicycle Garage on a flat tire. Sean fixed it immediately even though I didn’t have an appointment and got me on my way. Quality and professionalism of service is 10/10!
Jacob Dines: These guys saved me from a very long walk when they replaced my blown tire on my bike with a new one in no time at all!
Alex Chong: They were fantastic! I was having gear/wheel issues, and they were able to take my bike in the next day, fix it, and get it back to me in great condition within the same day. They were also very polite as I asked questions of what went wrong. Highly recommend!
-H-: Excellent service - hard to find these days! I highly recommend this place. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they aimed to help you, unlike other stores that only think about how to sell you their most expensive product.
Stephen Lester: not a quality online store. i placed an order and they cancelled my order simply stating that they were reserving that product for local customers. Will not buy from again.

The Bike Line: what do users think?
Josh Box: Got a new freewheel put on my bike here. Service was ok but the guys seemed over it and uninterested. Also, came to pick up my bike and the air in my rear tire was low even though I dropped off the bike full up in both tires. Usually you get your bike back ready to ride away.
Jeff Larsen: I had a very unpleasant experience with The Bike Line and will not be giving them any more of my business. I brought my bike in to address an issue with the rear hydraulic brake and what should have been taken care of in a single visit took multiple trips because the service manager, Keegan, failed to properly determine the root cause of the issue (a leaking brake caliper) and then contaminated the new brake pads on the replacement caliper as well as a new rotor because of improper technique. When I questioned him over the phone why he deviated from the planned work which would have avoided this contamination he got very defensive and impatient with me. When I asked to speak to a manager he very rudely informed me that “I AM the service manager and THIS IS THE END OF THE LINE.” Eventually I was able to speak to an owner who was not at all understanding and instead came off as very evasive and passive-aggressive. I strongly recommend going to Grey Goat or BGI for bike service by competent professionals.
sailesh koirala: Me and my wife wanted to get our first bike but we didn't have much knowledge about it. All I knew was I wanted to buy Trek hybrid bike but wasn't sure about the exact model. Bill helped us choose the right bike and he was very helpful right from choosing the bike until it got delivered to our place.Thank you Bill for helping us out. I really appreciate it.
brandon daurelio: Great selection of bikes. The lady that I spoke with was very nice. Would love to give them my business!
John Laughlin: I haven't had the opportunity to meet any of the ownership team yet-- Charlie, Bill or Jimmy Revard. However, I've worked with Keegan and Jordan for a few service-related needs. As a fellow local business owner with Quiptu, this team's top-class. Couldn't recommend this store more for bike needs in Broad Ripple/Nora.
B Benson: Worst service customer service. I’ve witnessed multiple times when a passerby on a bike just needs to have something adjusted/tightened (seat post clamp, brake lever, etc.) and they just flat out say no. I was buying a small part in a pinch and had to help a customer with the tools I had in my car instead of the shop gaining a potential customer - they said they’d never buy anything from there. I’m in the area and I go out of my way to go elsewhere.
J.C. Welch: Great local shop - family owned and operated. Just bought again yesterday! A new Trek Marlin 6 and couldn't be happier. Great for repairs or upgrades. Thanks Charlie!
Ch IP: This was by no means an easy build. But by the time this project was complete, every single staff member had a part in helping me build my dream bike. Even though fixies aren’t their speciality, the staff assisted in locating compatible parts and getting them in a timely manner. Thank you a thousand times staff of Bike Line.
Jason Myer: This is officially my new, and only, bike shop for sales and service. The experience I had my first time there is the epitome of customer service and shining example of a business that appreciates you and wants you to come back. In a nutshell, I brought in both mine and my fiancé‘s Electra Townie’s prepared to drop them off and spend hundreds of dollars on what I thought the bikes needed. After a quick assessment I was not only told that they did not need anywhere near what I thought they did, but because it was a simple adjustment, they took care of it right there on the spot and I had my bikes back on my Jeep and headed home. When I insisted on giving them something for their time and honesty all they said was “we just want you to come back.“I wish there was a way to give more than five stars. I will send everyone I know to The Bike Line.
A Gibson: Courteous staff and quick turn around on my bike tune up!
Phillip Schroeder: Service staff are rude and impatient.
Nicholas Badman: The people at this bike shop are super helpful, have fair prices, and go the extra mile to help their customers! I needed a new wheel for my bike asap and they were able to find one that was appropriate for me at a good price and get it swapped out same day. And it's close to the Monon, so super accessible for cyclists that can access it!
Richard Nussle: Stopped in recently to look at bikes. Bill ended up helping us. We were looking at bikes for me, wife and kid. He let us try out different bikes, talked about differences and helped us make decisions. He even offered to delivered the bikes for free the next day. While the bikes can be expensive, Bill was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I’d definitely go back if I needed to get another bike one day or other items needed for bike.
Mindi Epstein: The three brothers running this first-rate bike shop offer the most comprehensive and patient service I have ever received. There isn't another shop in town that can compete with how much inventory of top brands they have on hand. No waiting till 2023 to get your dream bike. I got mine, fully outfitted, in less than 3 hours! Thank you, guys! I am one, very happy customer!
Tourniquette: Expensive, but great. They have Trek, Bianchi, and a couple I'm unfamiliar with. Employees are awesome and very knowledgeable.Service on whatever your bike is is reasonable and exceedingly knowledgeable. One of the best places in town for service. They're geat!
David Lowe: Once again Bike Line really did an outstanding job for us. To me they really represent the standard all companies should aspire to. They are experts and they deliver superior personal service. Although we moved 30 minutes away we still bring our bikes there for repairs, tune ups, etc. I absolutely trust their advice and service.
Danimal moberly: A+ service from a roadie! Lots of bikes in the shop! And a TREK dealer!
Sean Row: Wonderful experience, very knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Tim Wiley: Bought a bike this week and it was a great experience. First time buying a bike at a bike shop. Worked with Jordan and he was knowledgeable and helpful. Took time to make sure that the bike fit and gave great tips in caring for and making sure that the bike fit. They had quite a few bikes on hand so was able to try different sizes to assure selection. If looking for a bike and want to deal with honest and helpful staff I would strongly recommend The Bike Line.
Rose Popovich: Charlie and family are knowledgeable, helpful, and truly care about making sure you have just the right bike. I love riding my new ebike. I appreciated being able to test ride, and am glad they had the selection that allowed me to quickly get the right sized frame. These folks are really great at making someone who is more of a casual rider feel competent in making a decision about what would best meet her needs. Thank you The Bike Line team!
Dawn Clevenger: The best service ever! Quick service and very reasonable!

Bicycle Garage Indy & BGI Fitness: what do users think?
John Wright: Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
John Fritz: This is a nice bike shop. Exactly what you would expect, but the biggest difference is the employees. Ben help us out finding a pull behind for my bike. I wanted to be able to safely take my daughter on ride. Ben was very knowledge able and helpful. He eased my worries about the trailer and helped us find and fit helmets for my daughter and wife. He did not try to up sell me on overpriced substitutes that were inferior or the same quality as what I bought. My plan was to check around and shop at other places but I was so please with the service I bought everything that day and have been more than happy with the entire transaction. Big shout out to Ben.
Autumn Summers: Great selection and very helpful staff!
Brian Arthur: Staff always very helpful and available to help!
Debbie Fairfax: Great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Helped me find the right product. I’ll go back!
Leonardo Carbonara: Fast and friendly service
Thomas C Fitzgerald: Wow! Took my bike in for routine 6 month maintenance. Had a little trouble with one of the gear combos but nothing major. Jen immediately pointed out that the crankset was bent and said they would replace it under warranty. This is the first bike that I’ve purchased and serviced through BGI but am completely impressed.
Josh Means: Great knowledge of products. Got a fantastic new bike to add to the stable!
Nina Mutone: I took my bike in to BGI North for a problem with the rear derailleur on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 1:45pm. I expected to leave it there with a service ticket and pick it up at a later date. Instead, the young gentleman at the service desk took a look at it, mounted it on the stand and within minutes had correctly identified and fixed the problem. He returned it to me immediately with no charge. What a delightful surprise, not expected but deeply appreciated. The knowledge of this service staff is impeccable and their customer service is a class act. I look forward to working with them many more times in the future.
Cameron: This place is awesome! I got my Trek Marlin 5 here a year ago. They encouraged me to test out a few bikes to see which I liked more. Very professional people. I was able to come here and get a 1 time free service tune-up (I believe valued at $75). They tuned my bike a lot better than I was able to on my own. I also got hydraulic break service done here. Very reasonably priced. I only give out 5 stars if Im blown away by a place. So great job everyone who works here.
Phil Hasier: Best shop in the midwest! The people make it so!
Eric Templeton: Amazing place for cyclists
Brian Kassler: Fantastic customer service. Very quick turnaround for the requested level 2 maintenance. Courteous expert staff taking as much time as you need to answer all your biking questions.
Chris Painchaud: Great selection and great help from sales and from the mechanics
Scott McCullough: Friendly and quick service. Techs are very knowledgeable. They ride too.
Arthur Bradley: Knowledgeable staff, full service shop!
Kbunch 31: Fair prices and friendly service.
Daniel Spieth: Really appreciate BGI's service department and their attention to detail
Michiko Hikida: I love supporting locally own businesses, especially when folks who work there are kind and helpful. I've been to bike stores before when I feel intimidated and talked down to. I had the opposite experience at Indy Bike Garage. My questions were welcomed and answered and I left with a new bike!
Daniel Dudley: Great service department esp..service manage Mark. Knowledgeable sales staff…ie..Patrick
dylan smithes: Absolutely do not buy nor work for this company! No respect to their employees run by crooks!

Matthews Bicycle Mart Inc: what do users think?
Neil Pinney: Excellent friendly service. Have been going there for decades and it's always a great experience.
Katie Frey: I could not be happier about landing at Matthews when I needed a bike shop in Indy! Every employee has taken such great care of every need I have had. They are happy to answer any questions and find you exactly what you need. Not to mention it’s a blast hanging out there! Thank you so much Nancy, Scott, Mike, and everyone else!
Jesse Smith: Wonderful and polite. Greeted instantly. I came in to buy some gears and a new wheel. Ended up buying a Benotto bike instead. The customer service was welcoming and professional. Thank you Nancy for your words of encouragement. Truly an delightful experience.
brian rismiller: Awesome!
Thomas Trentanove: Love these guys...ask for Scott or Mike...they know their stuff!Picked up two Jamis bikes. Great Selection.Nancy is AWESOME. 76 years in business. That says it all.
Jeremy Cummings: Bad communication. Placed a bike in for service for my wife's birthday to have new brakes installed. Was told on Thursday bike would be ready by that weekend. Called in Sunday morning and was informed that it was pushed back to Monday, than called Monday around 4pm to be informed it wouldn't be on schedule till Tuesday now. Also stated he heard someone told me Sunday for Monday, but he knew that wouldn't work and didn't bother to call on Sunday or Monday and say hey we need to reschedule to Tuesday. Bad communication resulting in loosing of my business as well as letting all my friend know to be warm of taking thing in there. If you have a timeliness don't get services done here, they will not inform you of delays and tell you lies to keep the sale alive.
Eric Paul: Bought two bikes from them in college back in 1992. Thought I’d go back to have a BMX worked on. We were treated very good. Then I called to check on my bike and the vibe was totally different. Mark has no idea how to talk to a customer. He was rude. Went to pick my bike up before he touched it. He could have cared less. Once a Pixie always a Pixie. Thanks for nothing Mathews. On to a real bike shop like Indy Cycle Specialists.
Daniel Walter: Great service department, very knowledgeable and reasonably priced
David Sidor: A HUGE thanks to the guys at Matthew's!! I was riding the trails at Ft Ben when my front bearings Desintigrated (to quote them when they saw what was left ). I wasn't going to make it 10 miles to home so I managed to make it to Matthew's🤞They replaced my front wheel and had me back on the road in 30 minutes! Thank You guys!!
Gabe Peters: My wife and I were greeted as soon as we walked in the store, asked if we needed help and when I said we just wanted to look we were left to look around until we needed help then Scott was right there again to help answer questions, get me into a bike that was comfortable to me and also in my price range. Great first experience here. Went into another local shop earlier that day to look and not one person tried to help us so we left. Will definitely be back!
Mark Gordon: Super helpful people
Michael Sharpe: I love Matthews! They are by far the best local bicycle shop in Indy. Great service, wide selection of bike from BMX to Road to Gravel, they have what you need at reasonable prices.Went today for a custom bike fitting with Chris and his attention to detail, expertise and knowledge was unmatched. I've had pro fittings done in other states and the amount of time he spent going over every detail is well worth the cost. AND you can return until the fit is just right! I love that he offers micro adjustments included in the initial cost of a fit. Trust me, not all fitters offer this.I am recommending anyone looking for a quality bike give them an opportunity to earn your business. It's a reason they have been around for decades as a local establishment. I'm sending my wife and a friend to them for custom fittings so that they can enjoy riding as much as I do.
Evan James: Basically I went here as a kid , got back into bikes a few years ago. I decided to buy a quality bike. Came to the store around 10:30. The lot was empty other than ne when I walked in. A guy said there were more bikes upstairs, and as I tried to talk to him he walked away. I know he heard me try to talk to him. I went up stairs walked around. Saw a couple Haro's I liked , and came down. No one else talked to me. They were to busy talking to themselves doing nothing. Not sure what that was all about, but I'll never be back and my kids won't go there like I did. I guess I'll check out B.G.I. or something like that. Wasted Trip, and wanting to do business.
David Stinnette: The best bike shop in Indy. I’ve bought everything from a fancy new road bike to parts for my cheap commuter from these guys. Knowledgeable staff and fair prices.
Helena Welp: Mathew’s bike mart is officially my favorite bike shop. They have a huge selection of bikes and accessories. The staff were very helpful and I felt very welcomed there. After I picked out my bike they have a lovely waiting area with comfy leather couches and refreshments while I waited for the service team to set up and inspect my new ride. The service team was also very knowledgeable and kind.
steve dillback: Have been shopping here for 25 year. Outstanding customer service.
Danny Chrenko: Great service staff, nothing but good experiences.
Garrett Ellison: everyone is very knowledgeable. This has been my go to bike shop for years. If you have any questions Mark and Brad will have an answer.
Bill Lamkin: Very helpful and only sell you what you need. Great local shop.
Lula Robertson: Great
Charles perkins: paid $400 for a Haro for my son, took the bike back for the maintenance tune. Shortly after we purchased the bike the material came loose from the side of the seat, when we asked about it they said that the bike has been laid on its side, my son keeps that bike in his room, takes great care of it, he had one wreck and it scrapped the hand grip and pedal, no marks or any sign of damage anywhere on the seat, today my son was at the bike/skate park in Franklin, he popped his tire tube, he walked it to Grey Goat bikes downtown, they replaced his tube, no big deal except the guy told him his tire was on backwards (tread reversed) and that it could not be changed now, we purchased this bike already assembled from Mathews , now makes me wonder if they really know bikes at all!
