The Custom Cottage is an American small business created to return solid furniture manufacturing back to our country. We make our furniture from northern hardwood trees that are milled in Indianapolis, kiln dried to “furniture grade”, built and finished in Indianapolis, IN. A few weeks after you place your order, one of our Indianapolis craftsman builders will begin selecting your wood to personally build your furniture. Finally one of our craftsman finishers will take what was built and apply the finish you selected. As a result, each piece of furniture is unique.

Ally Bright: Got a couple of rugs from here. Definitely check the sizes of things before you buy because the photos aren’t of the actual product. My roomate also got a patio set but it didn’t come with arms and we have not heard back yet about getting refunded a partial amount. We made the rugs work and some of them even still had tags on them which was nice.

Cleverly Lockhart: My dad in the 70s, 80s, 90s, did business with Furniture Distributors, he had a furniture store in Peru Indiana. The guys treated my mother and father so well and gave great deals. My parents sold a lot of their furniture and never had a complaint. My parents passed away some years ago, I thought about doing the same and if I do I will be in touch with the guys for their guidance.

Joshua Holmer: Very friendly and helpful staff, and high quality furniture to choose from. You can customize the look and feel of your furniture, which is awesome, although do be aware it takes about 6 weeks for them to custom make your furniture, but delivery is free once it's ready. I never felt "pushed" into buying anything, either, which is something I hated about the big name furniture stores.
Karen Edney: So happy we found HomePlex, after literally months of searching the conventional furniture stores for the perfect sofa, we called in after a friends recommendation, so glad we did! Ashley spent hours with us on a number of visits to find the "perfect white sofas" for us. From the beginning to the end, we were given as much time as we needed to make our choices, and there are so many choices! From fabrics, to cushions, to depth of sofa, to feet, color of feet, arms, the selection was truly amazing! Our sofas arrived last week, and they are truly gorgeous, including our custom leather ottoman, that's so handsome! HomePlex gave us top notch service from beginning to end, thank you guys for making our home look gorgeous!

S. Love: The customer service is disgusting. When customers come into a place of business to spend their hard earned money they shouldn't be disrespected. The racist comments made by Diana and consigned by her co-worker are sickening. My family and I are regular customers and we will not be back. Sickening!

Anjali Palvia Shah: I have been a member on and off for years. The negative reviews don't make sense. Both Anita and Jim have always been amazing to work with and are very helpful. This is not the place to go to if you want your hand held for you while you pick out stuff. It's a place to go to if you want to spend your own personal time to find and purchase high quality stuff at a fraction of the cost.
