Princess Angel: This is the first restaurant I’ve been to in Indy that’s really bad, like our waitress had the nastiest attitude. She wasn’t a nice host, we had complaints about the food and she basically just told us to eat it like that. It also didn’t help that we were the only black people in here and she attended to the white man who came in an hour after us. They served him before us and took almost an hour to get us just fries. She was just mean to us and we tried to understand that it could be because she was tired but later on realized she just didn’t like us and was just being so rude to us.
Stel_larh: The waitress had an attitude. The food took forever to come out and was not good. It’s dirty in here. I understand why they don’t have customers.
Carrie Syczylo: I believe this to be my first time making a review that will be very negative and for that I apologize. This is a very honest review and my experience during my first and last visit. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Our waiter was fine. The food was the worst food I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. We eat out an average amount and the food we received reminded me of hospital food. Everything from the soup to the main course was as bland as bland can be. I ordered the prime rib and it was by far the worst cut of prime rib. It was tough and nearly impossible to cut with a steak knife. I asked for medium rare and it was medium well, it had absolutely zero seasoning and tasted very gamey. It kind of tasted as if it was prepared a couple of days ago and re heated. The veggie medley was ok and did have some salt and pepper on it. The potatoes were at the same satisfaction level as the prime rib, old, dry and flavorless. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We did not complain, the waiter tried. We paid our bill, tipped our waiter 25 percent and headed home. I contemplated making a review because I just rarely do. However I would hate for people to spend their money on food of this quality.

Mallory Thompson: The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and our waitress was good. We ordered the salmon and rice pilaf. The rice pilaf was crunchy, so I only took one bite. The salmon was average, especially for the price tag. The portions were on the smaller side for the expense. The dessert was passable, but not anything to rave about. I would say there are definitely other restaurants to try in Indianapolis that might offer a better experience.

Jordyn Nelson: Where to begin. This was truly the worst dining experience I've ever had in Indianapolis. The service was fine, which is the only reason I'm giving 1 star. I won't say it was outstanding, but she did make sure we had drinks, ordered within a timely manner, etc. however, she wasn't concerned at any point with how we were actually enjoying anything, specifically the food. My husband ordered an old fashioned, and I ordered wine, and we felt that our drinks and the appetizer (truffle fries) were the best part of our experience. For our entrees, I ordered the lamb chops and my husband ordered the prime rib (both med rare). Lamb chops were the smallest I've ever seen, cooked medium-well, and had more of a "mint cilantro smear", if you will, instead of the mint pesto. My husband's prime rib was truly the worst part. Cooked extremely well, dry/grisly texture, not served with the horseradish sauce (which is always served with prime rib). I really wanted to send our food back, especially considering our server never checked back during the meal. Oh, we were also only 1 of 3 tables there the entire night. Yikes, please just don't go. Save your money. Go literally anywhere else.

This was my first visit and they were not very friendly and immediately had me hesitant on my decision to dine there.On another occasion, I had called to make reservations and the customer service was horrible. April Casiano-Lee: We decided to drive almost 2 hours for a special birthday dinner. We didn’t wait long for our table with having a reservation. We were promptly introduced by our server who took our drink order immediately. Our server was friendly but seemed a bit scattered. We did order a few appetizers. 2 came out but the last one came after our salads. 1 salad never came. Another server tried to bring the save appetizer that we were enjoying out again but we explained we had that one, she rolled her eyes and said ok. As we were enjoying our salads, our food came out as the last appetizer came out. A dirty martini was ordered but took at least 20-30 mins to get. The risotto dish was not delicious but the salmon and filet medallions were amazing. We did express the distaste of the one dish. Our server took care of it immediately and explained a manager would be by. Once she stopped by, she apologized about the dish and said she wild take care of it. We did express our concerns about the rest of meal but she didn’t seem interested. We did receive a complimentary entree to take with us. It was 2 of our first times entering the establishment. We will come back to try again. Again, our server and another server that stopped just to help take our pictures were were great.

Kylee Kirby: I celebrated my 25th birthday at Cooper’s Hawk recently and it was the perfect spot for it! Lauren was our server and she was immaculate. Very attentive and was able to manage the large group. We were greeted at the front door and our reservation was on time. We ordered Lettuce Wraps, Bruschetta and Egg Rolls for the entire table and the appetizers in my opinion were the best. Our margaritas were delicious! For my entree I ordered a filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My steak was undercooked but overall everything was delicious. My steak was cooked correctly and my cocktails were good. Dessert took what felt like 30 minutes plus from when we ordered them which didn’t make sense with how empty the restaurant was. When everyone at the table starts cracking jokes about how long it is taking and is 80% through their dessert cocktails or coffee you know something went wrong. Desserts were massive which isn’t bad as long as there is some warning,which we weren’t given, that you should share them. Overall for spending that much money at a restaurant you would expect it to be more impressive with the food. Service was good and the waiter was attentive.also like several other people have said the place is so dark that we had flashlights out to read the menu. And we didn’t feel like there was anywhere to take a picture because of bad lighting.

Ray Vanlanot: They have what appears to be a biased dress code. Their Sunday 1/2 priced oysters is contained only to one type of freshwater oysters, The place is dark even during the day, and the elevator is so dark, YOU MUST HOLD ONTO THE GUARDRAIL or simply crawl so you don't fall. Thank heaven the have an elevator. Service was minimal at best. I think that they are so exclusive that the will feel it soon if not already.
Cathy Murphy: My sister and I came to Indianapolis for a concert and decided on Oceanaire for dinner.Wow everything was fantastic. We had such great service starting with the hostess our waiter Jake and his helper, Fill. Jake was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and suggesting both entrees and complimentary wine.We had the crab cakes and the sea scallops. Best seafood we have had in ages!!And we travel to many places.They even celebrated my birthday with a baked Alaska, flaming at the table - yummy.The prices are higher, but worth every penny!!!!We will be finding the Oceanaire in other places we travelThank you so much

Scott Austin: Ruby, and the manager (I don’t remember her name) were both very accommodating on the phone as we spoke in preparation for our group. Waiter Jake was excellent, very professional, yet fun and knowledgeable. Food was excellent as always, we visit once year, every year for the past 12 years. We love Oceanaire Indianapolis.
Brent Hendricks: This is one of our favorite celebration spots. The menu is refreshed periodically, so there's always new things to try. A bit pricey but the atmosphere is great! Go with the valet parking for a smooth experience 👍👍👍👍Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menuParking: I recommend the valet parking for a hassle free experience.

William Whitton: Terribly overpriced for the small portions. Asparagus was inedible. We have always wanted to try this restaurant, but we would never go back.The candlelight was nice, but overall way too dark in there.Quite a disappointment all around. This place is even more expensive than Saint Elmo’s!Once we realized how insanely overpriced this is, we could have saved ourselves the frustration and $230.00!!Caveat Emptor!
