Hinata Japanese Fine Dining: what do users think?
Andrew Owen: Wonderful food, staff, and overall experience. Would highly recommend and definitely plan to go again.
Nianen Chen: My wife and I went to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Staffs are very friendly and environment is comfortable. Foods were quite ordinary and not delicate as we expected. When one of the courses with Fried Chicken was served, I bite into one of the pieces with RAW chicken meat! I let the server know but were not interested in getting it re-cooked since I lost my appetite. During check-out, the server tole me that since their owner was not onsite, they cannot do anything but they gave me card of the owner and asked me to call him later, and ensure me that he would make it right for us. I did call the owner another day and here came the most interesting piece. After listening my story, instead of sincere apology, the owner , blamed me not "raising my hand to ask for reprocessing" (his original words). OK, this is not Sashimi, it's a fried chicken and nobody should expect raw meat in fried chicken. And no customer should expect being blamed when they complain about the quality of the product. This is common sense of running a business! To summarize our experience, if you are looking for truly delicate outstanding foods and services, go to chicago for those michelin restaurants. They are much more well deserved. Even Vida may be your better choice. If you just want to try some good authentic Japanese food, One Word or Akashi in North side will give you better experiences with 1/5 of the price. Spare yourself and don't go to this restaurant!
Patrick Gamache: The chef is an artist, and it was incredible to watch him at work. Recommended to anyone who wants a true culinary adventure.Edited for spelling.
Ashley Richardson: Wow, everything about this place was incredible, the food, the service, the atmosphere! Would highly recommend it for a special event, anniversary, etc.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jim Kincaid: Hinata is a one of a kind experience in Indy. A must if you are a fan of Japanese cuisine. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. It is an excellent experience on all accounts. Can't wait to return.Vegetarian options: Ask about vegetarian options when making your reservation
Taylor Avidano: Incredible food, accommodating of dietary preferences, excellent service. Such a great way to celebrate our anniversary!Dietary restrictions: Pescatarian friendly!
Lienne Pyzik: 4.5/5We had a great dinner her. The service is friendly and prompt, and the food was unique and delicious. There is plenty of food across the multiple dishes, and they make for excellent dinner discussion. We plan to return during another season for the rotating menu!
Elisa Doll: My husband brought me here for my 42nd birthday. I'm a rather eccentric person but the staff enjoyed me anyway. They were very attentive and accommodating. I have problems digesting dairy and as long as I minimize consumption I won't get much stomach upset (ice cream how I miss thee!). Hinata's chef was able to make 8/9 courses dairy-free and the 9th had very little. My 1st course was the most different from the menu as it was fried shrimp dumplings in a silky daishi broth, topped with scallions. Very, very good. We opted for the recommended pairings and omg was it very generous. If you are not a regular drinker, like us, it was a lot. Neither one of us finished everything but we each found the pairings well-matched and determined to buy a couple of them some time. The food was fresh and glorious. Since there is a rotating menu, we will have to find an excuse to return. Beware the tasting menu is very pricey. However, we like to do these from time to time and though it is expensive, it is very in line with other such places around Indy & Michigan.Dietary restrictions: As accommodating as they can be.
Susanna Sharples-Gordon: Hinata was a wonderful restaurant. The chef used a lot of unique flavor combinations and played with the textures of dishes. The seafood was fresh and packed full of flavor. Everyone in our group loved the meal. The server paired wonderful sake with my taste and the courses. Previously I wasn't a fan of matcha, but the matcha pana cata changed my mind, it was so good. If you are looking for a fancy date-night restaurant in Indianapolis with high-quality Japanese food, look no further.
Zan Turvey: Dining at Hinata is the best culinary experience you could have in Indianapolis. This incredible jewel is a Michelin-level establishment that could easily go toe-to-toe with the best from Tokyo or New York. The chef is a creative force who takes you on a culinary journey that will absolutely delight your senses. The Sake, Wine, and Whisky menus are highly-curated and feature very hard-to-find spirits presented by a very knowledgeable staff.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Amy Iglesias: Horrible service.
Navneet Dhaliwal: Terrible
Addison Robertson: Excellent cuisine. I was in a group of 6 and 3 of my guests were apprehensive after seeing some pictures. But all of the dishes were excellent. The chef tailors the menu so everything flows well and the mixture of tastes and textures allow for am experience within your meal.
Cody Matney: Amazing birthday dinner
Colin Poling: Fantastic
Benjamin Doughan: I am reviewing Hinata at the price point of our meal and as the top sushi establishment in Indianapolis. This means comparing it to other high-end restaurants in the same class worldwide and our expectations based on the price. Our meal was $608.22 for two people. We had the price fixe menu with the higher end wine/sake pairing. Our rating is 3.5 stars for Hinata but cannot give that on google apparently.Food (4 stars): The sushi meal itself was very good. When comparing against other Michelin rated sushi restaurants we have gone to I would place Hinata in the same class but at the lower end which is still very good. The cuts of fish and other meats were excellent and prepared in an artistic fashion. The tastes they blended was what we would expect for a place like this. The negative aspect would be the number of courses were far too low. 6 courses is absolutely on the low end at this price point where I would expect 8-10 in most places that are equivalent. For example Central in Lima you get 15-17 courses at a lower price point and they are the 7th ranked restaurant in the world right now.Wine Pairing (4.5 stars): I would say that Hinata has done an excellent job for the wine pairing for our meal. It was not the best we have ever had but it competes with some of the best restaurants in the world at any tier. There were courses that the meal was not complete without the wine/sake and vice versa. Both brought out something in the other that was not possible to notice alone. I would also say the sommelier was very, very good. His explanation and presentations of each course was excellent.Service (3 stars): This not a Michelin restaurant but they charge Michelin prices. I would expect a higher level of service for Hinata. The servers were good, and great personalities which we enjoyed but the traditional standard of service and presentation/pageantry you get with higher end restaurants was lacking. If this was a 200$ meal I would say they were perfect but not at this price point. This also could be what they are going for. A much more casual presentation and service experience which is probably appealing to many.Ambiance (2.5 stars): I do not know what they are doing on this one to put it bluntly. It was like eating in a high school cafeteria (a fancier one) or a budget sushi establishment. The lights are blisteringly bright, the seating is close quartered and cheap looking, I think I would probably recommend eating at the sushi bar if you have the option over the cafeteria tables. This was one of the most confusing designs for a high-end restaurant I have ever seen. A lot could be solved by diming the lights and upgrading the seating layout and compositions. Décor was fine IMO as I like minimalistic approaches there.Overall Expectations (3 stars): This absolutely IS the best sushi restaurant in the Indianapolis area. If you have a special occasion to celebrate this should be considered if you love sushi and don’t want to drive to Chicago. If you are a big foodie and love going to high end restaurants you can skip this one. Explore other options in Indianapolis as this is not worth your time in general. We left happy we got to finally try Hinata out and eat some good sushi with an excellent drink paring but our expectations were not met at all.
Matthew Koskela: I went to Hinata for my birthday last year and the experience was unforgettable. The atmosphere and service are top-notch. The authenticity of the Japanese cuisine is unquestionable. The ceremony of the entire meal made it a truly special dinner that lingers in memory much longer than others.Over the many courses of the meal I was elated by the incredible flavors packed into the small dishes. Even the dishes that weren't my favorite were interesting and new to me. Our waiter had many recommendations for sake which were all delicious. They even customized my dessert for my birthday. While the menu has changed since I visited (it is updated monthly), I cannot recommend Hinata highly enough. For special occasions or simply enjoying the best haute cuisine that Indianapolis has to offer, give Hinata a try.
Jill Germana: Easily one of the best restaurants in Indianapolis.
Milt Bagan: This was an amazing experience. So grateful to have this type of restaurant in Indianapolis. Chef Tanigawa made beautiful delicious food and staff was very attentive. Shane was very knowledgable with drink suggestions and explaining the menu.
Paul C: Absolutely phenomenal. Nothing else in Indy comes close to this in terms of Japanese food, or on some levels fine dining.Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: No Delivery: No Curbside pickup: No …More

Vida: what do users think?
Toby Davis: This is touted as one of the best if not the best restaurant in Indy. Reservations backed up for months would seem to align with this statement. We love Cunningham Group and have never been disappointed. Provision has been our #1 Indy spot for a few years now, and only other Cunningham restaurants have come even close... until now. You know you're dining at a great establishment when every detail is meticulously thought out. We did the 4 course meal, and we each chose different items. And from the cauliflower to the scallop to the sablefish to the side breads, everything was better than anything you've had anywhere else. I typically gag at the smell of brusselsprouts, yet I ate and enjoyed the sprouts served with the ribeye. The scallop and sablefish were like butter, cooked to perfection, and I don't even know how they cooked the ribeye so perfectly. To top it off, Thomas was fantastic in tips and knowledge and also conversation. We need to visit Provision again soon just to compare, but we will be back to Vida many times.Vegetarian options: Just speak to your server.Kid-friendliness: Wouldn't recommend except for teaching kids about fine dining.Dietary restrictions: They carefully account for any restrictions.

Maggie Zehren: This was our second time at Vida. The first was a year ago and was fantastic. This time we were not quite as impressed. Service and our server were lovely, no problems there. Food was good though not quite as flavorful as last time. Instead of being served an amuse bouche like we had received last year and the tables around us received this time, we were served a sorbet in between our 2nd and 3rd courses, which was fine but the dessert I ordered also contained the same sorbet. Additionally, we never received any bread for the table, which we had really enjoyed the last time we were there. Maybe we needed to ask for it this time?

Nicholas Musselwhite: Love their vibrant cocktail selections! The food is some of the best in Indy. This is more reserved for special occasions in my book. Love that it is part of the Cunningham group. If you can sit outside can have some noise with traffic, but really enjoyed the outside experience.

sheena vanhook: TOP FAVORITE restaurant in Indy for a date night or celebrating any occasion. My all time favorite dish is the FOIE GRAS. The RICOTTA DOUGHNUTS are also a top favorite. We always plan a full night dedicated to enjoying each dish with a wine pairing. The experience is worth the time and money. The quality you are receiving is worth the higher end price. Plan an evening and enjoy.Highly recommend
Jen Brown: I took my niece here as a treat during the Devour Indy festival. The restaurant and service was amazing. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. I took the waiters recommendation for the scallops and they were the best I've ever tasted. They even had several nonalcoholic cocktails on the menu which I always appreciate. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I'll be back!Parking: They have a very easy to use $10 valet parking. The entrance is on North Park Street. The valet was a very polite gentleman. 😊
Muhammad Khalifa: I think of this place as the Cunningham Restaurant Group's crown jewel (whether they intended it that way or not) and it remains one of the better eating destinations in Indy (and one of the only tasting-menu-focused ones). Well executed modern New American with a regularly evolving menu. While it's otherwise impossible to pick favorites, the hot ricotta doughnuts have a permanent home on the menu for good reason - do not miss them under any circumstances.
jean-sebastien delfosse: The place is super cozy. You immediately feel you are going to have a good time when you walk through the door. Food is very refined with dishes you don't get everyday (fois Gras, duck,etc...) and you get great advice when choosing the wine that would match best with your food.Congratulations to the teamWe will be back!

Luis Lluberas: Fabulous service, tasty food, in a modern setting! We decided to follow Brandon's recommendations as he was very knowledgeable of the dishes offered and we were not disappointed! The lamb was very flavorful and tender as well as the tomahawk pork chop. A short drive from most hotels and convention center. Parking on premises. Reservations advised. Ample seating indoors and outdoor. Highly recommended
Bryan Hines: Big fan of this place. It’s a perfect spot for casual fine dining that isn’t too pretentious. The place is just a cool spot with great food. Charcuterie is a must purchase if you go.

Angela Cook: Visited Indy today from Cincinnati and went to Union 50 on a whim. They did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and our server Khiry was awesome! We had the truffle fries, the duck and the lamb shank. We loved the atmosphere and will definitely be back on our next visit.
Tasha Elle: On a spur of the moment, we decided to grab a bite before our great summer shred and glutton shedding begins. Always diet starts tomorrow, right? Well, Union 50 proved to be a good bet for our last Eat-Out meal. I'm not fond of poutine, but I actually really like the pastrami poutine they have. Maybe it's because the amount of fries to toppings was well ratio-ed out. It wasn't toi dry or too soggy. Just perfect and it was yums. Everything was delicious. I'm a huge fan of duck and the duck duck dish was cooked perfectly. Tender. Tasty. Totally one of the best places to eat at Indy. And the service was great. Our server and the kitchen coursed everything properly. Pretty impressed with this place.
Laura Plunkett: The staff were wonderful and our waitress Alley was amazing. The appetizers and entrees were so delectable. Everything tantalized the pallet.Parking: Just as you expected.
Candice Bambrick: Me and my mom are not from Indianapolis and went here because the menu looked fantastic and I am glad we did! Not only was the food some of the best food we have ever had but the service was unmatched. Truly the best staff we have ever seen. Bravo! Will be back again!
Eswin Trujillo: First off, if you're concerned about COVID, this is a good spot. While it only has indoor seating, the seating is spread very far apart, well more than 6 feet, and everyone there seems to take it seriously. Second, the food was great and the price was reasonable (although I live in Chicago so maybe everywhere else seems cheap?). I highly, highly recommend the toast + jam, as it is raw ahi tuna on crispy bread. The scallops are also highly recommended, especially if you like spaetzle. Should I find myself in Indy again, it will be hard for me to want to eat somewhere else.
Cory Lyon: OutstandingFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Karen E Laine: I keep trying to like the food here, and maybe it's my palate that's the problem and not the food, but it all seems over done to me. There seem to be too many flavors added to each dish. This time, I ordered gnocchi, which the menu didn't mention was spicy (which I pay attention to because I don't enjoy overly spicy food), and traditionally isn't spicy, and it was too spicy for me to eat. Also, the menu said it was pan seared, but mine was charred. The truffle fries were a little limp and had too much truffle oil. The bread had char marks, which I know some people like, but I just don't. I like my bread to taste like bread, not charcoal. Our service was good: attentive, knowledgeable, timely. There are a lot of hard surfaces, so the space is noisy.
Keith F: Absolutely delicious!! My wife and I choose a new (to us) restaurant every month, with the criteria of being "an experience". Union 50 definitely delivered.Every morsel of food was devine; from our appetizer to our desserts, and everything in-between. Our server was a joy; as she was always ready to answer all of our questions, and give amazing recommendations. All the other servers as well could see my wife and I admiring the dishes as they came out, and would tip the plates a bit in our direction as they walked by with an explanation of what the dish was.Chef Dan, Sous Chef Roman, and the entire crew put on an excellent display of their talents. A clinic on flavor, teamwork, and excellence if you will. Highly impressed, inspired, and fulfilled.
paul powell: Awesome food great service nice atmosphere.
Blake Nicolas: Toast & Jam was amazing and very unique. Lamb shank was delicious. Will be back.
dj alphahouse (DJ Alpha): We had to wait, but we're glad we did, because it was well worth it! The service was fast and friendly, but the best part was the food... It was to die for!!! It was so good, we are definitely going back for more! Super impressed by the menu. The meatloaf is my favorite!

Indira Camargo: I used to love Livery. When they opened I was number one fan and was my place to go. Yesterday, that completely changed. We ordered: the Crab tostada, yuca Fries, Picaña and the Chocolate tres leches. Number one disappointment was the presentation of the crab tostada, followed by the lack of elevated taste. The picaña was just OK but the “sofrito rice” was terrible, no flavor at all. Finally the tres leches was weirdly presented with some sort of chocolate icing on top (butter and chocolate), caramel ice-cream on the the side (I don’t get it), strawberries (ok) and whipped cream (why?).Drinks were great. We ordered the sangria and the cachaça colada.I do have to say the crab tostada was the was and was taken off the check.

Katie Christenberry: YUM! And spicy. 🔥🔥🔥 Tough location to get to for a carry out order on the weekend with parking, but my husband made it back and we enjoyed our meal. He was not greeted by anyone upon entering the restaurant and had to venture to the bar to inquire about our order.Yucca fries with queso — the fries are very starchy, so definitely share, but the queso was incredible.Guacamole — great dairy free option for a starter. Large portion, and spicy! The little pinwheel complimentary table snacks — I will take a family-size bag, please and thank you. Crispy, zesty, salty. So good!Paella — it’s not a traditional paella at all, so certainly deceiving based on the menu, but the shrimp and scallops were cooked well and the dish was very flavorful. If you don’t like lots of little chunks of onions and peppers—beware. Also, very spicy. And we thought the portion was a little small for the price. Probably wouldn’t order again, but we also ate it all 🤷‍♀️

Gabrielle cooper: One of my ABSOLUTE favorite places to eat in Indy! The quality of the food is unmatched and no matter how many times I go, it’s like I’m experiencing the food for the first time all over again.Dimly lit and the overall vibe/aesthetic Cocktails *chefs kiss*Highly recommend the Paella if you’re into shellfish with a nice kick of spice. Also, you can never to wrong with the empanadas…especially the queso ones. Honestly, anything on the menu won’t disappoint and that’s coming from someone who’s been quite often.
Jamie Aker: Honestly, the absolute best.We went there for our anniversary. Our server was very kind, funny and knowledgeable of the food. He made great recommendations and was super helpful all around.Words cannot describe how good the food was. My partner had the vegetarian empanadas and I had the pork belly tacos. We shared the cauliflower app. Then the churros for desert to wrap it all together. Every single part of the food was spectacular! I'm still dreaming of the churros.
Regina Easley: Loved the decor and the vibe! I was eating solo and sat at the bar. The bartender recommended the cauliflower appetizer. I was hesitant at first but it literally was the best cauliflower I’ve ever eaten. I also tried the chicken empanadas and tres leches dessert. This restaurant is definitely worth trying!!!Recommended dishes Cauliflower Appetizer …More
grace: Great dinner, they were really accommodating, food was lovely and good drinks. A nice atmosphere too. Shaun was super!
kenneth mccune: Excellent food and service.
Charles Wright: My girlfriend and I visited Indy for a day and decided to try Livery. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. After such a great experience, we will definitely be back. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Bluebeard: what do users think?
Natalie Meyer: I absolutely love this restaurant! I have never had a bad meal here and always have fantastic service. So many delicious things to try on the menu! I personally love the cauliflower, the beet salad and the brussels sprouts! But honestly, I’ve tried a number of different things here and all of them were delicious! This is also a fantastic place to get dessert! Always a rotating menu of different items in the bread pudding is to die for! This place is an absolute must for anyone visiting or living in Indianapolis!Vegetarian options: Lots of good options if you’re not a meat eater.

daisy: Beware of this place if you're not a local. We went there and were told it would be a 45 min wait. We waited at the Bar. The bartenders are very friendly, the only reason this place sucks its because they give the preference of seating to the locals. The couple in front of us in line got seated right away. We were told it would be 45 mins. 2 1/2 hours later, they called us telling us there were 3 people ahead of us. How was that possible? The restaurants doesn't take reservations. We were forced to eat at the bar. As I mentioned, if you are not a local, you will have to wait to get seated a couple of hours. We will make sure we tell others from Texas to avoid this place when traveling to Indy.

A Zach: Love the restaurant, but if you happen to get on their wait-list later at night, make sure to take the 'responsibility' to ensure that you'll get to have dinner before they close or else you're SOL. Most unfortunate.
Bryn Foreman: One of my favorite places. It’s pricey (for good reason) but perfectly affordable if you’re going for drinks and snacks. Great staff.Recommended dishes Casarecce, Oysters on the Half Shell …More

Goober Wolfgang: Meh. Food wasn't really anything special, it was food... quite expensive food for how bland it was. No offense to the restaurant but you could probably get a more flavorful food item at mcdonalds... also was fairly expensive for how meh it was. Tater tots were BUSSIN though. The Interior design was really confusing and didn't really go together o_O.. it was kinda freaking me out! Some of the stuff in there was cool thoughVegetarian options: It has a few vegetarian optionsParking: There's no parking lot so you have to park on the side of the road or another plot nearby

Hannes Breuninger: We had a little wait when we arrived which got covered by their "speak easy" bar in the next house.Service was excellent, the bread and butter was great and my main dish - the pork belly - was too!It was a bit pricey but definitely did not feel like a rip off to me. Would come again.
Kristina Harvey: The food was good! Charlotte Hughes: The food was delicious and the cocktails were good. The reason for the three stars was honestly due to the server we had. She was rude and when we entered the hostess was a bit confrontational. I would say go for the food but don’t expect super friendly or understanding servers. Food and atmosphere were great but just not great customer service

Tinker Street Restaurant: what do users think?
Amelia Knopf: I hadn’t been to Tinker Street since The Before Times. It was every bit as magical as I remember. I don’t take food photos so you’re left to your own devices to imagine perfection. Went with friends, ate a metric ton, and everything was perfect. The fan favorites included: fried Korean mushrooms, pork something or other, pea risotto, ricotta donuts, and the bartender. Bartender was clutch.
Robin Thoman: We've enjoyed the restaurant many times before, often with friends. Each visit has been enjoyable and the food delectable. This B-Day visit was no different.I was disappointed and surprised to see an extra surcharge of 4% for back of house gratuity added. I deducted that forced gratuity from my typical 20% tip. As this is not customary in Indianapolis, it would be best to make every patron aware when reservations are made. This is the ONLY restaurant I've been charged this premium. If the "house" can't pay their kitchen team adequately from their gross receipts, they should charge more for the menu items. You might call me naive but our $220 dinner/$50 entrees (less tip) should easily afford the excellent back of the house team. Owners savings on the site, parking, the interior finish and screened pati dining should leave plenty of gross income after fair pay.
Ryan Crossley: Our service was not good at all and the food was SO MEDIOCRE. To start we asked to sit on the patio by the windows, but they sat us in the middle area even though no one was there. I had to ask our server the off menu specials which I shouldn't have to do. Tinker street is known for their off menu specials, and every table she served I heard the table ask as well.I ordered the mushroom hot pot, it tasted like hot water. No flavor at all. I added mushrooms to mine and they were 18 dollars extra. I wish my server would have told me because it was shocking when I got the billMy boyfriend got the pizza which had a really flavorful sauce but that was the only pro. He also got mushrooms added to the pizza because it was jusg cheese. Again 18 dollar charge.I got a spicy marg it was very good.I told my server it would have been nice if she would have told us the mushrooms added to the meal would have cost us 36 dollars.I was so disappointed with this place because I have heard nothing but great things. I will not be going back and I will never recommend anyone to go.

Erin FoxDoan: This was such a beautiful little place. The food was delicious, the staff were awesome. We started with a Charcuterie board. My husband and I got the steak meal and my brother in law got the pizza special. We had a bottle of wine and my husband had a whiskey drink w a cookie in it lol.We got dessert too!! Delicious!!We would definitely go back!!

Becky: Service was slow and my husband and I both felt like the waitress had an attitude when neither of us ordered booze. Food was so so. Love the atmosphere though.
Paula Berry: Great place, love their Sunday menu, Chef Tyler's Fried Chicken and the fresh from the outdoor oven Pizza were both superbFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Nichole Kirk: Enjoyed a birthday dinner here with some friends. Everything was absolutely incredible! We ordered several appetizers, a bottle of wine, an entree for each of us, and dessert. The mushroom pierogis and the Korean fried mushrooms were my favorite apps from the night. I ordered a duck Parmesan, which was the special for the night. All of the food was phenomenal and the staff was lovely. Highly recommend Tinker Street for any special occasion, or just because you like amazing food!
Brock Holst: Our favorite place for special occasions or with special friends. Excellent wine list and large plate options have never disappointed us or our guests! The Gouper was outstanding.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Meghan Loughren: This is the perfect spot for a cozy, intimate vibe. I’ve never had bad service here. I’ve never had a poorly cooked or seasoned meal here. Their fish dishes are next level.
Nicklas Meyer: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5More
Melissa Dorsey: Always enjoy coming here. Love that the menu changes with new seasonal dishes. Great drinks.Recommended dishes Cheese & Charcuterie …More
Tolga Ercan: Always a five star experience. Food is excellent, drinks are great, service is prompt and friendly, atmosphere is cozy but comfortable. One of our favorite non-chain restaurants for a date night. This time we had the miso oysters, which are amazing! I then had the shrimp curry shellfish dish. It was more like a clam and mussel curry stew. I wasn't expecting that at all. I thought it would be more like a seafood curry dish with a thicker sauce. But I love steamed mussels so this was a good surprise. It was delicious. For dessert, if you have never tried it, try the donuts. You get 4 good sized donut holes and a very coffee tasting espresso sorbet on the side with chocolate sauce drizzled on the plate. The donuts are made in house and are possibly the best you will ever have. You really can't go wrong with it!One thing that I wasn't too excited about was the Pomelo cocktail. It was way too sweet. It is supposed to be a grapefruit vodka based cocktail but I could barely taste the bitterness of grapefruit from the sweetness. I still finished it because it tasted good but it just was not what I was prepared for at all. I feel like that needs to be made much less sweet or a warning put next to the description. :)
