Staff is always hospitable and there for every need that my family and I have. They were extremely accommodating, which means a lot to my family and I. Julia Hendricks: Not only did Miss LV get us a room at a decent price at 5 am , she made sure we got to keep the room until the next day ! so glad we didn’t waste almost a hundred bucks for a couple hours of sleep .. and let’s not forget the lovely morning staff offering hot breakfast with smiles on there faces . Pat Del Transit Walls: Got woke up by loud guest down by the grilling area. I was on the 3rd floor and still I could hear them. They were drunk and loud at 330am. Sat/Sunday morning. Couldn't get a hold of the front desk. I went down at 5am and it turns out extended stay employees were back there being the loud with the guest. Saw them walking in with a bottle of wine, a little out of it . To be fair, I don't know if they were drinking or on the clock, but I've never seen extended stay employees sleep overnight. Even worst, party with drunk guest and make others uncomfortable and unable to sleep.

It's so close to Notre Dame and any activities you may want to do there, but you're also right downtown by the river and can walk around to restaurants. Juliet Ragaishis: We stayed at Kasa for the Notre Dame Graduation weekend. It was a lovely experience; simple and easy to use. The apartment was clean and located close the the Notre Dame campus. Honestly, there was only one drawback. Parking was a bit tricky - not impossible, but tricky. We always found a spot, but sometimes we were literally the last spot in the parking lot. I wonder if there were others who did not get a spot in the lot. Made me wonder if parking was an issue as we returned around 10pm to our unit each night. Just an observation, not a complaint.

Bed was comfortable, plenty of closet space, loved the fact that there was a washer & dryer. We were close to ND and our family.There were a few minor things that needed fixed, but nothing detoured our stay. Claire Ecklund: We just spent an amazing 5 night stay at the Kasa apartments in South Bend. This past weekend was our son's wedding, he lives full time in the same complex (The Pointe at St. Joseph Apartments), so many of our out-of-town family rented all 10 of the units Kasa offers. One unit was right next to his! All the units were spacious, clean and well appointed. There were a few different room configurations, but they were all great. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics, we had coffee, tea, sugar, creamers, salt, pepper, Olive Oil, paper towels, and dishes, pots/pans, dish soap, DW detergent, etc..Besides being in the same complex, which made group activities and ride-sharing easy, we all loved how easy it was to walk to so many places: multiple coffee shops, bars, liquor store, restaurants, parks, bars, the walking trail along the river, downtown, bars, etc. There is also a nice sized recreation room with pool table, couches, kitchen, big screen TV, etc. which worked great for meeting up and hanging out between wedding related events. The pool area would also be great, but it wasn't open yet.Things to be aware of:There are no elevators in the buildings with 2 bedroom units, so if you are in a 2nd or 3rd floor unit you will have stairs to deal with. The 1 bedroom units are in the main building and there are elevators for those. We had our 88/86yr old parents, so requested a 1st floor unit. Kasa was very accommodating. Also, the sliders on the first floor go directly to the patio at ground level, so that provides easy access if you have other people coming and going. We didn't have to deal with key fobs and door codes for EVERY in and out(20-somethings returning from the bars closing for example).Each unit can get a parking pass, but as the evening progresses, the lot fills up. There is overflow parking across the East Race (canal) which wasn't too far of a walk from our building, E. We only had to park one vehicle from the 10 units in the overflow lot, and I think that was only 1 night when we didn't get back until 12:30am.The Kasa Customer Service people were extremely helpful. 3 or 4 of the 10 units had trouble with their initial key codes to their apartment doors. But the Kasa people worked it out for them.If we ever have reason to come back to South Bend, I would definitely stay here again!

Debbie Chi: Spacious and clean. Nicely decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Check-In and check-out process was easy. Kasa uses generic photos for postings and the apartment did not look like what we saw in the photos during booking. Will definitely consider staying at Kasa properties again.

The place was great: easy check in/out, very roomy, the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, it had all the amenities we needed (shampoo, conditioner, soft TP, plush towels, and even a diffuser on the hair dryer for my curly-haired friend!). The wifi was fast and the parking was easy.My only comment is the water in this area is very hard so I recommend bringing some bottled water.

They lied said my room smelled like cigarettes and I dont smoke, said they found ashes. How can find ashes in a room no one smoked in. But they initially said it was because thtey found guts in the trash then today it was a different story. Did I mention my room was 4 doors from the front desk. So if I was smoking you woukd have smelled it. I have seen several reviews other people saying they did the samething they were charged and dont smoke. The people that there for weeks or months are the ones smoking and running the hotel down. If i dnt get refunded Im Going to small claims court and will never stay at another ExtendedStay

However, the only thing that this place provided for breakfast was the snack bar/energy bar. I wouldn't stay here unless I really have to. Jessica Gideons: No housekeeping and it shows terribly. Hotel is dated and needing renovations, but the absence of regular cleaning is the main problem. It's obvious that shortcuts are being taken to the point that it's gross. From crumbs, to dust, to hair everywhere, this place is a hard pass until they get it together.I did ask to see different rooms in hopes that not all rooms were like this. Unfortunately, after seeing 2 more room options, it was quite apparent that it's a full building problem with cleanliness here.

Sweet Treatz: Not a good place to stay from the loud fighting from random people. Place isn’t all that clean the manager is very rude with foul language people on their phones talking and what not. Rooms also have bed bugs and roaches the views of that are true carpets are dirty and hallways smell of either cigs or another substance. Kerrin Hansen: This hotel was absolutely horrible. Other than Brittany and Robin the front desk attends I dealt with most of the time that were helpful and nice it was just horrible. The general manager was super rude and unprofessional and spoke to both me and my husband horribly making us feel we were not welcomed there. She was using fowl language in front of my kids and one that is not right. I have never dealt with any GM like this and I have worked in this field myself and I think this is not her field that she should be in. She is just a poor excuse for a GM. Brittany was so awesome and helpful and just worked with us so much and she is I believe amazing. There was black mold in the shower and just a horrific smell in the stairwells. Stains all over the place and half the time the dryers in the laundry room were out of order. If I could rate this hotel lower I would but rate just Brittany and Robin with good rates I would do that. But this was horrible. Don't stay here!

The water pressure on the shower was good as well.I only saw one elevator as far as I could tell. They have free breakfast, which was decent... cold foods, plus eggs, breakfast sandwich and two types of sausage. The coffee station was in the lobby.Only stayed for one night, but if I was in town, most likely stay here again because of the close proximity of the food joints near by :)

Shawn Surma: Not our best stay at a Residence Inn. Front desk staff are not friendly. Housekeeping staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was one of the worst I have ever seen. The rules of the place are not enforced and I had to walk through smokers every day. Dogs barking all day one day and the parking lot was never cleaned of snow. They just waited for it to melt.

Living In Clip: I normally shy away from reviews as I see them as a bit passive-aggressive. Plus, I travel two hundred days a year and believe I’ve seen just about everything. Nevertheless, when I checked in there was a pungent smell of marijuana emanating from the front desk area. I want to stop short of accusing hotel personnel, however there was no one else in sight. Their kitchen ice machine did not work, the elevator required regular resetting, despite being a supposed Platinum Elite member (which I could care less about), it took six days and three phone calls to have my room cleaned and towels replenished, and then when service was finally carried out, the trash can was left in the center of the room, none of the towels, et al were hung and there was a condescending note left by the housekeeper. And this person failed to replenish coffee and dish soap. Did I mention that upon check-in and going to make a small meal in the kitchenette, the dishes were filthy and there was no dishwasher detergent to be found? Service has all but deteriorated, post-pandemic. Still, this hotel was more reminiscent a Motel 6 or a Super 8 than a Marriott. If it were me, I’d seek other accommodations.

Eva Harrison: Terrible experience. I stayed here for two nights. The hotel front had scaffolding which limited parking but no big deal. The room seemed nice enough at first. It didn’t get cleaned after the first night but there was a sign telling guests to check at the front desk if they needed clean towels, etc. The morning of my second day, I noticed something nasty. The front desk guy referred me to their Director of Sales and Revenue, who apologized and said that he was going to refund my charges. A month later, I’m still waiting for that. Beware!
