Em Horvath: Found this place searching for a lunch spot as we were stopping from out of town to see a show. My mom and I have been vegetarian for years, and we both loved being able to consider an entire menu rather than picking through for the stuff without meat (although it made it harder for us to choose!). An amazing assortment of meals with so many veggies and lots of non-meat protein. I got the sautéed tofu and veggies and loved it, huge portions and came out quick. A great little hole in the wall place. I feel like my food was a little on the unsalted side, and they only serve brown rice but those are the only things I would keep in mind about coming here, and are certainly not an issue. Definitely check this place if you are vegetarian/vegan, and try it even if you’re not!

I spent $48 on my first (and only!) take-out order from Pinellia and, after a few bites, ended up throwing everything--except for the spring rolls and vegetable dumplings--in the trash. Disgusting! The Moo Shu Vegetable was watery, soggy and filled with disintegrating, overcooked cabbage. The sesame noodles had no flavor. We tried adding soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, but nothing helped. While waiting for our order, I took a glance around. The place looked like a cyclone had hit it and it was not clean.

Carla H: I don't like giving low ratings, but I want my ratings to reflect my experience. To those who have never been. The inside is like the inside of a barn. It's pretty unique and cool to me. The lighting set the mood for a nice night out.During this trip, we only had to wait like 20 minutes. They did give us the option of eating upstairs in the "lounge". But, we declined. We were sat in a booth close to the entrance. There was a sort of fence-type wall, so privacy wasn't an issue. The issue for us, was the cold breeze from the exterior door. We were able to tolerate it.I felt the menu offered a good variety from which to choose. I went with fried chicken, my husband went with grilled chicken. The server was very attentive, refilling drinks promptly. I ordered the sweet tea. It was really good. I ordered a salad. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. When my plate came out I was surprised. For whatever reason, I imagined something else when I ordered. I thought I was getting fried chicken patties, like the sandwich option. That was on me. What I got instead was a half chicken, all the pieces were individually fried. My husband was like you should have seen your face. I don't typically order fried chicken because it doesn't always come out right. Unfortunately, that was the case here. It was slightly overcooked (sorry no pictures, I remembered too late). It also didn't seem to be seasoned at all. My husband said, "you must not be hungry". I was. I just didn't like the food, and I didn't want to complain. For my baked potato, I asked for sour cream and butter. They give you packets of "buttery spread". I don't eat margarine. With this being a sit-down restaurant, I was expecting real butter.I might give them another go and ask questions about the items on the menu so that I know what I'm getting.

Tyree Kirkland: I was disappointed my Perch wasn't hot and a few pieces were wet underneath, like it was cooked then placed under a heat lamp until the rest of the party food was completed. It would have been nice to be told that adding onions to a salad would be extra cost and same for salad dressing. I recommended the place but it didn't measure up to expectations.
