Deanna Walker: There was a huge mix up with the unit that I rented. When the movers I had hired arrived with a truck and trailer full of items for storage, there was someone else’s lock the unit we had just rented. Since it was five minutes after the office closed, there was no one there to help. Not knowing what to do, they found an empty unit and unloaded into it. The regional manager called me himself and apologized profusely for the mixup. They took full responsibility. In fact, he went himself and moved my items from one unit to another. I cannot say enough good things about Public Storage! We are all human and we all make mistakes, but they definitely make it right when something goes wrong.

Called the office and Julie came out and showed me the different size units and was able to help me transfer mine all in the matter of minutes. Emily Lattimore: I have been renting here for 8 months and recently needed to downsize from a 10x10 to a 5x10 and let me tell you I didn’t even think about renting a storage unit anywhere else. Accessing the unit is a breeze and the customer service is incredible. I walked right in and was immediately and enthusiastically greeted by Brittany and Julia. They explained everything so well and showed me the storage unit before I signed which I thought was so helpful. If there are any questions or concerns you have they are there to help. Truly the best place and easiest way to store your stuff. Also you don’t have to worry about anything getting stolen as the location is in a safe area and there are cameras everywhere and the locks are very study and only have one set of keys and they’re yours.

Daniel Latini: Online signup process was easy. I had no problems getting into the facility via the keypad. However, I live nearby and rode my bike. The only way out is via the same gate, which is triggered by a weight-sensor that is calibrated for cars. There is no interior keypad, nor is there a way to alert the onsite staff. I ended up having to send my 7 year old through a hole in the fence to input the gate code again so we could get out

Megan Keeney: Good location, difficult to drive through with larger vehicles. The units stay relatively dry, but when it rains the back end of it floods. The doors to the units are a little older and can be kind of difficult to open.

Stephanie Williams: Has 24 hour access which was great and another reason we chose this spot due to our work schedule varying we needed access 24 hours a day. We stored our work supplies etc inside but showed up recently and gate code would not work upon further review we had received a email stating we have an immediate eviction from one large unit and 2 outdoor spots even tho we were paid up till the 14th when we called regarding access they stated we were "living" on the premises. We have been renting from here for almost a year and have never resided we have a home so to keep the peace we decided to take our money and spend it at another facility we were told in 4 days we could access our belongings so long as we kept our appointment 5 days later with them and only had 3 hours to remove our belongings. We showed up and Noone was here to allow us access still so we called and was informed that the property manager wouldn't be on location for 3 more days we ended up having to call local law enforcement who stated it is a civil matter and as long as we had paid up (we had proof) that they were not able to keep our property from us. We had people here that took off work and came from out of town to help on their scheduled day to move the stuff. Now we are being told we have 3 seperate days for only one hour each day to get our belongings out. I will NEVER rent or recommend renting from them again. Legally AFTER we have paid we still have 5 days before they can put a lock on our property yet we are not even being given that. DO NOT STORE STUFF HERE UNLESS U WANNA JEAPORDIZE IT BEING KEPT BY PROPERTY MANAGER

diana blackstar: BUYER BEWARE THIS FACILITY . went out of there way to not return my 200 dollar cleaning deposit for 2 storage rooms i purchased at there delinquent store sale . was told by the manager she would be back in 2 hours when i was done to return my 200 dollars . then after 2 hours i called no one answered . i called another facility and was told i would have to wait hours for the manager to return to give me my money back or i can have the check mailed . i said mail it . 3 weeks later i called and was told they thought i was coming in to get my deposit back . then i called 5 weeks later i was told the check was mailed that i never got . and i needed to wait till next month for further action to be taken . SADLY THIS FACILITY IS CLEARLY TRING TO KEEP MY MONEY AND IS LEAVING ME NO CHOICE BUT TO HAVE TO SUE THEM IN COURT TO GET MY 200 DOLLARS I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN BACK THE FIRST DAY . STORE=-N-LOCK I WILL SEE YOU IN COURT VERY SOON WHERE YOU WILL BE FORCED TO DO THE RIGHT THING YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE ON DAY ONE !!!

Kathy Axton: Darmstadt storage has gone downhill since they they went from north 41 storage to store & lock. Lady is very nice in the office. But I pay for temperature control. My contract says 50 or 55 degrees to 80 degrees. But it is usually between 86 to 90 degrees.i pay extra for temperature controlled because I need it. I have complained more than once. They also don’t sweep out the bugs anymore. I’m not getting what I have originally paid for.

Justin Kaercher: They recently expanded the RV storage area which really made the place look nice. I have a room and an RV out there, it is conveniently located and low cost.

Trent Dirks: The guys that run the place are easy to work with and flexible in facilitating your storage a little more than the larger franchises. Because of their location they are very accessible for anyone living in town on the North side of Evansville. They offer storage units, no electricity. I have a ten by ten and I'm happy with it. They also have room to store recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, and cars you might want off your property.

Lisa Montano: The manager at this facility didn't get the special the company was offering in the computer correctly when I signed the original agreement, but advised me she would have it corrected at the corporate office and have my bill adjusted. I asked if it would show on my next statement. She told me I wouldn't receive a statement, not even by email and that rent is due the first of the month.I moved in April 7, 2021. I received an invoice on April 16, 2021. My bill had not been adjusted to show the special I'd rented the unit under. When I went in to pay my bill and ask about it, the manager (same person) told me they had moved me out of my unit but she could rent me another unit. I asked why I'd been moved out. She said she had nothing to do with it. She also said she wasn't there when a walk through was done. She said people move out all the time without notice and the company will just go ahead and send out invoices at the end of the month. When I told her I received the invoice 9 days after I rented the unit and offered to show her the email, she tried to blame it on someone named Olivia and started to give some other story about how some people do send invoices, but she doesn't.I understand I didn't move anything into the unit I leased and paid for, (had personal/family issues, that comes first), however, my rent was paid IN FULL for April. While I was unable to make it into the office before closing on the previous Friday to ask about the bill, I did go in on Monday, May 3. This was BEFORE the 10 day grace period for payments, per the rental agreement. Technically, there would have been a late charge on or after May 10.The manager offered nothing, not even an apology. If I'd never been moved out, I would NEVER have had an issue with anything. I wouldn't even have had an issue with the fact the billing hadn't been adjusted as long as it was fixed. If there had been an apology, I may have been more understanding as well. No one is perfect. But I DO NOT LIKE BEING LIED TO! I will NOT do business with someone I believe is telling me me a lie. I also think (in this particular instance), it was a bit of double-dipping on their part. I was never even contacted to see if I wanted to keep the unit at least until the end of the month. I will go somewhere else and pay more. Btw, I went (same company), to the Outer Lincoln Avenue site. The lady there was very nice. She also apologized for any inconvenience I may have had. I am also paying more per month, as they don't have the special pricing.
