Haley Weiss: Great place for a cake for any occasion! I ordered a cake for my boyfriend’s birthday and specified I was looking for a golf themed cake. The price was $85 and it was a massive cake—plenty for the 22 people we had at this party. Very easy to call and communicate with the staff and raving reviews from my guests on the taste and appearance!

Stephanie Orr: Our wedding cake from October was GORGEOUS and literally the best cake I've ever tasted. I am probably the pickiest cake eater (I'm just not a cake girl!) BUT THIS bakery is unbelievable. All of the guests agreed. They let us pick 3 flavors in a combination of the tiered cake + sheet cakes for the back kitchen -- this resulted in a super reasonable price point for legitimately, IMO, the best cake in town! I will recommend this bakery for any event and hope to make many more stops into the cafe!!!

Then left another this week bc I still couldn’t get ahold of anyone and they tried to make me feel like I left a message too last minute and they couldn’t change it when in fact they just never checked their voicemail until the last minute. I know I left a voicemail a week in advance, they just didn’t check it. Not a happy customer. Terrible customer service.

They enjoy what they do and care about their clients and it shows in their work. Our cake was delicious and expertly crafted. On top of everything else, they had the best pricing out of every bakery we researched by far. I recommend them over and over again!

We got so many compliments on the way it looked, but were told by multiple people it was the best cake they've ever had (and I would have to agree). They also made the process totally painless. We did two tastings with them; choosing our flavor was honestly the hardest part because everything we tasted was so good. They have every flavor you could think of, and then about ten more. We ended up doing two flavors, white chocolate raspberry and spice, because we couldn't decide. We had a three-tier cake for the cutting and a few kitchen cakes, all of which were delivered right to our venue.

Alix Thomsen: DELICIOUS!! We just stopped here on our cross country drive for breakfast pastries. The gentleman behind the counter was SO nice and helpful since it was our first time. We ended up getting a dozen mini cupcakes (mixed box of the flavors which was nice), an eclair, 2 Danish with the fruit in the middle (1 blueberry and 1 cheese), and a snickerdoodle cookie. Everything has been incredibly tasty so far! We will definitely mark this as a pit stop for when we make this drive again.
B T: We worked with Larry, then Amber who completed the order. Many details to iron out as the couple lives in Japan, the brides family in Evansville and the wedding in Indianapolis. Amber worked with us and the cake presented at The Conrad reception was ooed and ahhh'd all night.The attention to detail, made the day. The cake was delivered in a refrigerated truck and safely placed Everything was coordinated with the wedding coordinator at The Conrad so it was one less stress on the special day. The Ube layers were a hit with the international guests!

I was just in with my sister for a cake tasting and decided to order a cake for myself from here because the cake was delicious. First time ordering over the phone at this bakery and I gave Julie my credit card info. I asked her for a confirmation number or something for my records and she said we don't have one. Rushed me off the phone like I was bothering her. I worked and customer service and that's not what you do to a potential customer. I just cancelled my order. I'll take my business somewhere else. We got a 4 tier cake with 2 different flavors and gave him silk flowers for decorating. Everything looked perfect and tasted perfect. All of our guests were raving about the cake for days afterwards. We definitely are going to get our anniversary cake here in the future. Kim's Kakery seriously went above and beyond!

summer walls: I love this place. I always buy my sons birthday cakes from them and am always super satisfied. I always bring them in a picture of what I want and they follow it to a tee. A little pricey depending what type and style you get but totally worth it.UPDATE: 2023. I am still ordering cakes from here. I am still one of their biggest fans! I had a baby last year and had his 1st birthday cake done by them. Just as satisfied as always!
Man 1000: My first time at this bakery was last month for a coworker's bday party. This $45 8" strawberry cake with butter cream frosting tasted great and it was decorated perfectly. I'll definitely give this place another visit.

The buttercream icing was a bit off putting while we enjoyed the sweetness it tasted like it had an added spice in there and we werent a fan of. They were late getting it done. My cake was supposed to be ready at 8 but they had accidentally put it down for 10. They did stop everything and get my cake ready, i think i had to wait 15 mins, not too bad.

Leia Shrout: Brenda's did our wedding cake and it was beautiful! The flavors of each tier were amazing! We did white cake/lemon curd, chocolate cake/seedless raspberry, marble/Bavarian cream. I'm not a chocolate cake fan but that seedless raspberry made it to die for! I can't wait for our anniversary to eat the top tier....even at a year old I'm sure it'll still be good. The process was easy & Brenda was helpful throughout the whole thing. I gave her my vision, emailed a few pictures, and dropped off some silk flowers and she took it from there. Delivery was on time and set up without any issues as well. I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try and I'll definitely be back for future celebrations.

I had a cake tasting scheduled one week and had to set a new appointment due to the lack of communication (two different workers not communicating with one another ) as well as not having the cakes ready on original schedule . On the new scheduled day of cake tasting, due to the lack of communication i thought it would be best to call due to avoid issues JUST to find out someone changed the time without consulting me. Very disappointed and i made the decision to fully cancel for what is called unprofessional on their end.If you do not want to stress or To avoid anxiety for your big day … say NO to this place. WHEN I CAME BACK FOR MY BIRTHDAY CAKE I SHOWED HER THE CAKE THAT I WANT AND SHE SAID SHE CAN MAKE IT. WE NEVER DISCUSSED SIZING. BUT WE DID DISCUSS THE WAY THE DECOR WAS SUPPOSE TO LOOK. AND IT DIDNT LOOK THAT WAY. SHE ARGUED WITH ME THAT SHE DID TELL ME THE SIZING AND SHE DIDNT. SO I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND SHE GAVE ME MY REFUND AND TOLD ME SHE CANT SERVICE ME MORE AS A CUSTOMER. WHICH IS RIDICULOUS BECAUSE SHE WAS THE ONE THAT MADE THE ERROR OF SIZING AND DECOR. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THEM SIMPLY BCUZ THEY DONT OFFER RESOLUTION & NOR TAKE OFFER-SHIP FOR THERE MISTAKES…. IN RESPONSE TO SARAH THERE WAS NEVER A MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT PRICING, THE ISSUE WAS WITH LACK OF OWNERSHIP FOR DISCUSSING SIZING WITH THE CAKE. A DISPLAY IN THE WINDOW DOESNT LIST SIZING. Plus the decor for the cake changes prices along with size. So it was a cute response, BUT YOU STILL FAILED TO FULLY DO YOUR JOB AND WALK ME THROUGH THE PROCESS. And it’s okay to admit that. Mistakes are made in business you live and you learn. BUT ITS NOT OKAY TO REJECT CUSTOMERS DUE TO YOUR FAILURE & MISTAKES. And yes I found the perfect cake outside of your company it’s far more beautiful and the sizing is correct 😘

Smithaniel Jacquelineson: I have a standing order, the 17th of every month, I pickup a cake themed around the situation comedy Home Improvement. The cake has a photo of Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor's assistant Al Borland(wearing his classic red flannel shirt) with a speech bubble that says "I don't think so, Tim." I get this cake every month.... since the year 1998. I still laugh every time.
Charley: Hours aren't right. Drove for an hour just to find out this place is closed. No walk-ins. Says appointment only, on the door. But website and everything else says they're open. They're not. Not sure why they even have a store. Oh well. Moving on.
Krystal Harrison: On top of the cake being beautifully crafted it was moist and delicious! Although all flavors were good at the cake tasting we went with Vanilla and lemon and Alana did not disappoint! Our wedding wastwo weeks ago and people are still calling us asking where we got this cake! Alana was very professional throughout the planning process and I was in my dressing room when she set up my cake and I tell you … YOU Can count on Alana to get the job done perfectly! Waiting on our professional photos to upload a better picture of our cake.
Kendrea Williams: We asked for a bulb that matched our logo and they delivered! Not only was this cake aesthetically pleasing, it was delicious and my guests were pleased. FYI: The cake was lemon.
Monica Acosta: We worked with Alana at Princess Confections for our wedding cake in early September. She did a phenomenal job. She was always very easy to reach and flexible when we made changes to our order. We asked for a three-tier wedding cake in the following flavors: pink lemonade, marble, and almond with strawberry filling, and we got so many compliments on our cake. We had people going back for seconds and thirds on our wedding cake and people were even getting take-home boxes - by the end of the night it was completely gone, which in my opinion is proof of her great work! The flavors are phenomenal, the cake was moist and in my opinion the best I've had at any wedding. I also ordered a small birthday cake for my friend for the same day in red velvet and it was also delicious and my friend loved it. Alana was very sweet and is very deserving of continued business! If you're looking for a wedding cake, go with Princess Confections!

Every one there was so sweet! The cake was phenomenal and my entire office was RAVING the whole day. There was none left to take home to my husband! I will be utilizing them for my daughter’s first birthday cake and all of my future celebrations!
Sarah Plastini: I ordered my wedding cake and dozens of cupcakes for my wedding reception, and I was very disappointed to find that the order was not correct (everything was missing the filling we ordered and paid extra for). They were very apologetic and refunded me for the filling we did not receive, which I am grateful for; however, I still spent hundreds of dollars on cake that wasn’t what I wanted for my wedding. Additionally, I thought the cupcakes were incredibly small for the price, so I would recommend you verify the size before ordering those. While I appreciate their taking responsibility over the matter, I would not order from this bakery again.
Heather Apel: If you're looking for a great, local baker who makes wonderful cakes, check them out. They not only do special orders, including birthday cakes up to big elaborate wedding cakes, but they have many cakes on hand if you just walk in the store. The number of cake flavors and fillings are fantastic - lots of options. The raspberry pound cake with chocolate truffle filling was decadent and delicious! And the staff is top notch, offering to try a sample of any cake flavor if you need help making a decision on which amazing cake to buy.

Emily Etter: Unprofessional. Make sure you get every last detail of your wedding cake in contract. I provided an inspiration photo and was told numerous times they were capable of reproducing the cake in my color pallet. After paying thousands of dollars, the cake looked nothing like what was promised, didn’t match colors and was falling apart before the wedding. When reporting this situation, was told “it was the cake I ordered” even when written email evidence states the opposite. This business did not take responsibility for their mistakes and promised me a wedding cake that they could not do. Beware. Bubbles4112: Cannolis weren't filled with ricotta/custard, it was filled with frosting so it was too sweet. Same with creamed horns. Cookies were hard as rocks. Staff was nice.

Jessica Capps: The Valentine’s Heart cookies somehow tasted like pickles. I don’t know how, but both of us adults got that taste. My kid did too, but he liked it.The younger lady behind the counter seemed out off that I was there and had questions as it was my first time there. I ended up buying quite a few cookies and treats and mentioned up front that I was getting quite a bit, but the lady put all my cookies (with decorative icing) in a bag together so the icing was smashed and smeared on every single one. I ended up with 5 individual bags of stuff, so I’m not sure why she didn’t use a box.The raspberry bars were great, and the powdered cookies in cellophane were great, but she made it seem like they didn’t make those in-house. They also tasted like anise cookies but the gal said they were almond. Either way, those were good. I just don’t know what the deal was with the cookies having that crazy pickle taste.

Jennifer Boes: My daughter wanted a cakepop from (the S-word coffee place.) I said let's go to that cupcake place and see what they have. Plus, I knew they had sugar-free cupcakes one other time. So ... they didn't have any sugar free cupcakes which was Ok, and I decided to get a cakepop with my daughter. This was the best cakepop that I've ever had. Red velvet with little crystal candies.I'm back checking the hours for another trip. :)

We ordered a variety of mini cupcakes, cookie dough shooters, and a small cake for our wedding dessert table. Everything was INCREDIBLE! Our guests raved about the flavors, and we couldn't stop eating our chocolate chip cookie dough cake! We also had great customer service throughout the entire process. The online ordering was super simple, all my questions were answered quickly by phone, and when a family member went to pick up our order day of, she was so impressed by how friendly everyone was. If you're looking for a great bakery with great service and fun desserts, this is the place!

We were in the area shopping and going out for lunch.We bought 2 cupcakes - one chocolate with chocolate icing, and one chocolate with chocolate caramel icing with half of a rolo piece on top. The cupcakes were light, the icing was light - in which we thoroughly enjoyed.We also bought 6 truffles - 2 brownie batter, 2 chocolate cake, 2 peanut butter. We have yet to try any of those.The shop felt very inviting and quaint. We were able to buy right from the case and take them with us.We will be back for another visit!

I ordered four different flavors and they all tasted like flour.I’m a chocolate lover and I was severely disappointed to find that this was not a true chocolate cupcake. Also the icing tasted like whipped butter. It wasn’t even sweet or had any flavor. I thought with this being a bakery that the flavor would pop but sadly the cupcakes tasted like store bought cupcakes with butter icing. I honestly don’t like leaving negative reviews but I think this could be used as a lesson.

Courtney Robbins: I have been meaning to write this review, but I have let time get away. I ordered several dozen individually wrapped cookies for an outdoor graduation in summer 2020. While they looked fine, they tasted horrible. Honestly Kroger or package sugar cookies taste 100% better than these. They were bland and very hard and crumbly and seemed old and stale. I had nearly 3 dozen cookies go completely untouched and eventually in the trash. Guests did ask where they were from as they thought perhaps they were not from an actual legit bakery. It was not only embarrassing but a complete waste of money. Perhaps their other baked goods are fine, but stay away from expensive custom cookies.

It look exactly like the photos I sent them AND everyone was talking about how the cake was delicious (which doesn’t always happen with cakes that look this good!). I couldn’t speak more highly of them and they were SOOO easy to work with and coordinate with too.
Iiva Smith: I was impressed by how when i left a message to place an order around 8pm on a Wed, i was called back within 30 mins and was able to pay and place and order online. I was told I could pick up on Saturday, perfect. However, when i called to checked to see what time they closed on Saturday ( me just arriving back in town from Miami) the man who answered the phone said i couldn't make it in they close at 2pm and that he has as an event he is about to work, and he doesn't open until the following Thursday but may be in Monday to pick it up. Disappointed that if the hours of operations are not convenient, just give me the customer a courtesy call. Now the cake will be old. So much for supporting black business, subpar customer service and operating like a small black business instead of franchising, and expansion. I tried to support. Thank God for my Jewish deli Shapiro's who will turn around a cake in 24 hours and be open conveniently so i can pick it up and enjoy it. We will never be exceptionally great...oh well. Just donated $45, the cake will be old once i am able to get it due to the operating hours. 🎂 Happy birthday, Mom!

gabrielle edwards: I ordered some cupcakes for a birthday party, and if you like a store bought cupcake like Kroger’s or Meijer cupcakes then that’s literally what I believe you are getting. When I walked in the bakery I smelled absolutely nothing, there was maybe 3 or 4 cupcakes in the display case. To be honest I don’t even think it’s a real business. I honestly believe they went to Kroger’s bought some cupcakes placed them in some individual plastic containers and that was it! Nothing tasted fresh nothing tasted homemade and the icing was nasty.

Then earlier this year it was increased to $45, no big deal, understandable. But now that same cake is $59.Look, I get Crumbl is probably devouring part of your business but the ridiculous price hike is going to drive customers away and exacerbate your problem, not solve it. I'll be just one example from that. No more business from us; not just on cakes, but doughnuts, cookies, you name it.... We'll look elsewhere instead of emptying our wallets for a cake (even if they are super tasty).

Beth Shotts: Highly recommend Piece Of Cake. I have had cakes made there for years and always turn out perfect. They can make your vision come to life. They were honest with me on my last cake, they weren’t sure they could get it exactly right since it was custom. TURNED OUT GREAT!! My son was so happy. My daughter was in awe, on how well they did creating & decorating her 16th birthday Mushroom Cake. The cake was a delicious vanilla & chocolate layer cake. Best part not one dried out piece of cake. Their Buttercream is a perfect balanced recipe. Not to sweet, not to buttery. Prefect! I think I have a new Cake place.They also make pies, cookies, and cake pops. They also have these little portions of cake they cut off from cakes they decorate and turn those pieces into trash cake. With a filling & frosting. Elyse: A Piece of Cake bakers made the cake and cookies for our September 25, 2021 baby shower. We could not have been more pleased!!! The mother-to-be loves almond flavored white cake with exquisite butter cream icing. Our cake was melt in your mouth delicious!!! One last requirement was the blue colored layer. Perfect Powder blue color was the requirement and the bakers did not disappoint.The cookies were equally outstanding. They were a moist shortbread cut-out cookie, in baby related shapes decorated with the wonderful buttercream icing.Both items were adorable and wonderfully delicious!
