Tai Gunter: I have mixed feelings on Pallidan. Ultimately, I do recommend them, with significant reservations:I contacted them several times leading up to my remodel and they were pleasant on the phone and very helpful. I scheduled the refinishing for my cast iron tub for the end of my remodeling schedule as they recommended.They came out and refinished my tub - they were on time and it looked great in my initial inspection. The fumes were pretty significant (more on this later). They told me not to use the tub for 24 hours. After that time I went and looked at the tub and there were 5-6 "runs" in the tub where it looked like too much of the product was applied, and it pooled up in the vertical spaces on the tub. I called Pallidan and sent them some pictures of this. They were apologetic of this and promised to make it right.They came out a few days later, sanded down their old work and refinished again. Another 24 hours we can't use the tub and another several hours of fumes to deal with. I looked after 24 hours and this time there was issues with the finish near the drain. The product was applied to the drain itself (it was removed the first time) and there was also bubbling of the product immediately next to the drain. I called them again and they were apologetic and promised to make it right.They came out again, re-did the work, and called it good. Another 24 hours without the tub and several more hours of fumes. I think they got it right on this third visit - I haven't had any issues since, and it's been a few weeks.Their website says that the smell is akin to someone painting their nails. I'd push back on this a bit. It's a very strong chemical odor, much stronger than nail polish. It's the worst for the first 3-4 hours while the product is still wet, then it dissipates more. I was uncomfortable enough with the smell that I had all my windows opened up in the house and set up negative air in the bathroom for additional ventilation. They do have an exhaust system they use but it was routed to a window outside of the bathroom, so that meant the bathroom door was open during the refinishing which caused the odors to spread. After 24 hours I'd say the smell was more like that of someone painting their nails, and after 48 hours it was gone. Since I had to go through this three times, I was especially annoyed by it.The product itself is beautiful and appears high quality. It's high gloss, very bright white - looks fantastic. I'm really happy with it now and this would be a 5-star review if they got it right the first time.Otherwise, the professionalism of the installer left a bit to be desired. For example, when he took off all the masking paper over my tile, he stuffed it all into my tiny bathroom trash can, where it obviously didn't fit, and left it there for me to deal with. This is the first time I've had a contractor leave their trash in my house - either take it with you or at least use the big garbage bin in the yard.If I were refinishing another tub I might call Pallidan - haven't decided yet.Service:Remodeling

Professional, personable, on time/early, excellent work, COVID-19 compliant, discount for paying in cash.I contacted Paladin to reglaze an incredibly beat up 60 year old cast iron Tub. My tub went from being beatup & stained to pearly white. Here was my experience:1. I left a voicemail because the line was busy. Kim called me back shortly (only 30-60 mintues later). Kim was incredibly energetic and very nice and polite, and she was knowledgeable about the whole process, ensuring my DIY bathroom project was in the correct state to have my tub reglazed. Kim also told me $20 off if payed in cash. Scheduled an appointment.2. Rich was 20 minutes early for my appointment. Rich adhered to COVID-19 guidelines by wearing a mask & staying socially distant. Rich is funny, personable, polite, and most importantly is *excellent* at his craft. Rich educated me on to how to keep the value of my tub though maintenance (cleaners to use, cleaners to avoid, what type of caulk sealant is best for their finish), and explained in very explicit terms the terms of the 8 year warranty (stellar value). The warranty stays with the tub, so if I sold the house, the next owners would be able to use this warranty (so long as they did not violate the warranty).
Colleen Solliday: Cannot recommend this company. They reglazed my daughter's tub and very shortly after it began chipping. They came back out and supposedly fixed the problem. Shortly thereafter, the tub began to chip again. Once again, they came out and supposedly fixed it only for the chipping to occur again. They wanted to return for the fourth time however obviously we have no faith in their workmanship. In addition they never answer the phone. The woman who calls back is incredibly rude and unprofessional and continued to change her story finally stating it must have been a bad batch of the product they used. They refuse to refund any money and we had to contact a different company to redo the work and have had no chipping since. The office person also stated each time that they have no records of customers, service calls or warranties. They keep no records or paperwork related.

Chrissy Wright: Integrity. These guys have it, and it was a pleasure to meet and correspond with them. In the back of my mind, I thought, "What if the cracks in my tub are too bad for repair and someone shows up, does a quick cover-up job, takes the money, but knows that it will leak again in a short time?" Anyone with that question in mind can be reassured that Rich would rather do the right thing than make a quick buck at the customer or potential customer's expense. He did an assessment and explained options, but was honest in saying that our tub needs replaced, and that the service he has to offer would not be appropriate for our particular job. He was kind, fair, honest. And it is such a joy to find an approved workman in any field that is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the people, relationships, and long-term sustainability of a project they attend. Kim was also very kind, helpful, and provided personalized information as we realized that the project we have will entail tearing out drywall and is much more extensive than originally anticipated. Though they were not able to make this repair due the condition of the tub, I appreciate their honesty, and the information they provided that will prove helpful as we tackle a bathroom remodel and replacement tub. We will keep them in mind for the future!

After Erin was finished, he gave great explanation on what to do, and what not to do, and answered all my questions. Not only that, but the tub came out GREAT! I knew it needed to be done, but it was like a new tub when he was done. This is a family owned business, and Erin is the son of the owner, so he really knew what he was talking about. I would definitely recommend this company.

Ryan Johnson: Bought a tube here in 2015 and had some issues with it. To be short, I think they did a fair job trying to resolve issue. Eventually, Marquis covered faulty part but I did incur expenses before it became aware of manufacture defect. Although frustrated, was pleased Marquis and Hot Tub Co did decide to replace entire electrical box. I have had no other issues with this tub other than before mentioned. Heather is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Rick Collins: Took three (3) weeks to get technician out (Rick). No problem as we weren’t in a hurry. Came to our house and told me since we drained it he couldn’t diagnose the problem. Takes very little time to fill with hose being right next to tub. Wanted to reschedule. 2 days later I asked the status and got the following message “ After talking with the owner we're going to have to pass as far as working on it. plus it's a Baja”. Not even sure why the brand matters. Asked for explanation but got no response. Had electrician in today. Diagnosed part needed within 5 minutes, problem solved and tub running great. Would not recommend this company!!!

From the first meeting in the showroom with Craig to the actual installation with Tyler and Rick today, I can't say enough good things about this company and the people working there. Their prices are competitive with anyone in the area and their products are top quality. We went with a Marquis unit based on Internet reviews and the recommendation of Craig. The features and benefits were all explained fully in the showroom while shopping, and all the chemicals, maintenance, and operation was explained in great detail today by Tyler and Rick. Communication through the whole process was extremely good. I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in a hot tub. And just for the record, yes... the duck is free with a hot tub purchase.

Juliet Ragaishis: We stayed at Kasa for the Notre Dame Graduation weekend. It was a lovely experience; simple and easy to use. The apartment was clean and located close the the Notre Dame campus. Honestly, there was only one drawback. Parking was a bit tricky - not impossible, but tricky. We always found a spot, but sometimes we were literally the last spot in the parking lot. I wonder if there were others who did not get a spot in the lot. Made me wonder if parking was an issue as we returned around 10pm to our unit each night. Just an observation, not a complaint.

Bed was comfortable, plenty of closet space, loved the fact that there was a washer & dryer. Claire Ecklund: We just spent an amazing 5 night stay at the Kasa apartments in South Bend. This past weekend was our son's wedding, he lives full time in the same complex (The Pointe at St. Joseph Apartments), so many of our out-of-town family rented all 10 of the units Kasa offers. One unit was right next to his! All the units were spacious, clean and well appointed. There were a few different room configurations, but they were all great. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics, we had coffee, tea, sugar, creamers, salt, pepper, Olive Oil, paper towels, and dishes, pots/pans, dish soap, DW detergent, etc..Besides being in the same complex, which made group activities and ride-sharing easy, we all loved how easy it was to walk to so many places: multiple coffee shops, bars, liquor store, restaurants, parks, bars, the walking trail along the river, downtown, bars, etc. There is also a nice sized recreation room with pool table, couches, kitchen, big screen TV, etc. which worked great for meeting up and hanging out between wedding related events. The pool area would also be great, but it wasn't open yet.Things to be aware of:There are no elevators in the buildings with 2 bedroom units, so if you are in a 2nd or 3rd floor unit you will have stairs to deal with. The 1 bedroom units are in the main building and there are elevators for those. We had our 88/86yr old parents, so requested a 1st floor unit. Kasa was very accommodating. Also, the sliders on the first floor go directly to the patio at ground level, so that provides easy access if you have other people coming and going. We didn't have to deal with key fobs and door codes for EVERY in and out(20-somethings returning from the bars closing for example).Each unit can get a parking pass, but as the evening progresses, the lot fills up. There is overflow parking across the East Race (canal) which wasn't too far of a walk from our building, E. We only had to park one vehicle from the 10 units in the overflow lot, and I think that was only 1 night when we didn't get back until 12:30am.The Kasa Customer Service people were extremely helpful. 3 or 4 of the 10 units had trouble with their initial key codes to their apartment doors. But the Kasa people worked it out for them.If we ever have reason to come back to South Bend, I would definitely stay here again!
Debbie Chi: Spacious and clean. Nicely decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Check-In and check-out process was easy. Kasa uses generic photos for postings and the apartment did not look like what we saw in the photos during booking. Will definitely consider staying at Kasa properties again.

The place was great: easy check in/out, very roomy, the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, it had all the amenities we needed (shampoo, conditioner, soft TP, plush towels, and even a diffuser on the hair dryer for my curly-haired friend!). The wifi was fast and the parking was easy.My only comment is the water in this area is very hard so I recommend bringing some bottled water.
